Exactly. We know for a fact that a huge amount of Zion's money is not guaranteed. Pels reporters have been telling us that since he signed the deal, and even though they were late, national media reported on it earlier this year too. It's a well known fact that somehow people still constantly miss when talking about Zion: his contract is perhaps the most team-friendly contract among all all-stars (outside of rookies, I guess).
Basketball.
Still feel like breaking up the team after watching them set the franchise record for points scored in a game?
Then you will never "change your tune." You clearly have your mind made up. Do you expect those teams to set a new franchise scoring record against each other? The Pelicans are not in the top tier of championship contenders currently. They may never be. However, they are a playoff contender and can make some noise in the playoffs. They would need a lot of luck to win a championship. However, trading for a bunch of unknowns is not going to get them there either, especially in the short term. It seems every time this team shows some hope, someone wants to blow it up for the almighty lottery tickets. This team is competitive and fun to watch. Enjoy it.

So far this season, we are top 10 in offense and defense.
We have wins by at least 10 points over:
- Dallas x2
- Sacramento x3
- Clippers
- Sixers
- Wolves x2
- Cavaliers
- Lakers
Several of those teams - Clippers, Sixers - are on the contender level and the rest are all at least in the running for a potential playoff spot.
The idea that we can't beat and dominate good teams is not an accurate one.
