Leading scorer for the Pelicans was:
Jordan Hawkins and JV tied with 13.
Our 'Big 3' combined for 36 (12 apiece)
But according to some, Clippers defense didn't figure in the game.
LOL
Yeah I'm pretty glad I sold me tix to this one. Flush it and move on.
We didn?t rebound and we shot 36 percent from the field (shot 40 percent from 3). I wasn?t able to watch but I can assume some of the lineups were bad. Hawkins plus 12 and only six minutes. Shouldn?t you reward the players that are lighting it up?
Were they garbage minutes? It would be weird otherwise
They had good ball movement in the first quarter. Then things went off the rails and it devolved into more of the old iso ball offense, which is especially ineffective with them double teaming BI. This was a good learning opportunity for the Pels, we havent seen double teams against BI a lot and they need to be better prepared for moving the ball in those situations.
clippers came to play and wanted a "scalp" they were switched on. pels not up for the fight unfortunately. any news on zion injury?
Where do we go from here, guys?
I have lost all confidence in this team...Again.
i hope this is just a blip on the radar. I was sure we had turned the corner in the wolves game
the starters played good half way in the first with energy and had the lead...Westbrook came in and sparked the clippers and it was down hill from there.....
team just was out of it tonight...

Heads up. Memphis putting clinics on now that Morant is back.
Pelicans are not the best team in the West. We learned that tonight.
If we have any chance to beat Clippers in 7 better hope Harden or George or Leonard or all of the all above don’t play.
As long as Morant is playing Memphis will jump back in playoff hunt. Won’t beat them in 7 either. Could not beat them in 2 .
This was exactly when we started are our free fall last season. Our schedule gets rough now.
This team got out coached as well.
They took away our only scoring threat with double team and dared someone else to beat them, and we failed to respond.
Not that we even have other offensive players to begin with.
Some will disagree. They will say it was the lack of Pelican offense and NOT the suffocating defense of the Clippers that resulted in last night's debacle.
I suppose all three of our 'so-called' Big Three all shot blanks last night at the same time all by themselves. You know what I mean, don't you? Our group of three is averaging over 72 points a game this year and last night, all by themselves, they only produced half of that (36 on 10 of 31 shooting). But, defense had nothing to do with it.
It looks like the gameplan to beat the Pelicans has been laid out for the league to follow, Take the ball out of BI's hands, watch CJ play ISO-Ball, and let the Big Guy do what he wants.
Point Guard, please!!
Sheesh!!
