Clutched up and held the lead in a hostile environment. If we can stay consistent we can go far.

Comebacks always start on the defensive end.

Any reason why Hawkins didn't play?

Yeah , I'm glad for guys like Jose, Ryan, Naji and the guys that don't make the big $

Methinks there was a subtle message sent tonight. If so, it's about time.

Damn . We own the Kings. Give me the Kings in the 1st round in April playoff tourney too.

  12. #137
What's nice about having played this extra game against the Kings is, we've clinched the tiebreaker with them, even if we lose the final two games. Might come in handy at playoff seeding time.

It’s much harder to motivate yourself to play a crappy team on a back to back. Not making excuses for anyone but that is true for most athletes. We have to get over that hump and show up every night. It won’t always go your way but damnit we need to stay consistent

Adam Silver will see to it that we lose that game if it is the Lakers. I rather Suns.

It’s so funny, listening to the TNT crew reacting to the highlights, you realize they didn’t actually watch the game.

As for Zion, I don’t mind that he deferred tonight. He felt his handle was off a bit so he was a bit more passive than usual. There will be nights where it isn’t your night and at least he recognized that. I would however like to see him more comfortable taking the wide open shots and stopping a bit short with a jumper and a floater. Teams will try to cheese you. It’s the unfortunate truth. Just get comfortable taking them, punish them and things will begin to open up.

Monday is a busy tv night. Football, wrestling, etc.

I'm okay with him taking a backseat sometimes - especially in games where everyone else is going off at the same time, BI, Herb, Trey, etc - but I am a little uncertain about the minutes distribution, and some of the rotations involving Zion and JV both.

I do like that he contributed pretty well everywhere else outside of scoring though. An efficient 10 points is extremely mediocre by his standards, but 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, good post defense on Sabonis, in under 30 minutes played is fine by me.

Zion was gassed playing three games in four nights. His conditioning still has a ways to go

I always question Willie’s rotations as Zion should almost always be surrounded by shooting. But I would like Zion to start punishing teams for taking him lightly. He is capable of more than driving.

Makes sense why his handle was sloppy. He looked tired for sure

Meh Chuck is right about Zion’s rebounding being subpar. I know Chuck’s old power forward position doesn’t exist anymore, and forwards aren’t going to have the same rebound numbers, but Zion has got to get more aggressive going after defensive rebounds
