Calling him 'JaMarcus' is an insult to Mr. Russell.

man, if zion just hook shot or nice floater, we would be up or tied or down 2....bully ball in the 4th and the lay ins are not falling...

And this is why you can't afford to have such protracted dead spots against teams like this. Denver are a championship calibre organisation, it's so hard to get things back once they've taken it.
    Basketball.

In the old days, they would have called an offensive foul on MPJ for throwing elbows on that rebound.

    And no JV in sight.

Hahaha. Good defensive play on Joker. Can't ask for more

This team will never even make it to the semi-finals with Green as HC

Offensively we tried. Effort was much better on that end (not saying much really) but what absolutely killed us is we got caught ever rotating and caught constantly out of position on D. The officiating was godawful in third to be fair but we have to see something resembling a defense from this team. I have a few question marks for Willie here. We need to be playing to free up Zion and BI. They have to get going.

    Pels lose by 18.

Shout out to Hawkins for 31/7/3 on 7/14 from deep tonight, huge for him in only his 7th NBA game.

Zion with 20/10/9 with 0 turnovers. The shot wasn't great, especially early in the game, but most of the shots themselves were good and the rebounding was definitely there.

Matt Ryan with a good shooting game.

Lost the rebounding battle again. Herb with 2, BI with 2, Nance with 3, Dyson with 2, just need more. They had 11 OREBs tonight and scored pretty well off them.

At least Zion got 10 boards. I'm happy.

    He’s an absolute Joke!

In the 2nd half of the last 2 games, Pels giving up an average of 36 points PER QUARTER.

If that happens either Zion or BI need to go for 40, in addition to someone else putting up near 30, and it hasn't happened.

Hawkins looks like another solid draft though.

Stay around .500 until the cavalry arrives. Can't have these 8 - 10 game losing streaks. These next 2 weeks are the season.

Alvin Gentry, Stan Van Gundy, Willie Green…….. can we catch a break?!

If Jordan Hawkins plays like this for the next 10 games, CJ would lead my second unit off the bench when he returns

When (if) we get healthy I’d like to see extended runs with a Zion, Hawkins, Trey, and Dyson l(and whoever at center) lineup. I think that lineup could do some damage.

Hopefully Jose is coming back soon because Kira is giving us nothing.

Is there a shot blocking, rebounding center out there that we can package BI and Jonas for? Jonas and Zion don’t work defensively.

I’m about done with BI, he sucks the life out of the offense. Dribbles the air out of the ball as he maneuvers himself into a contested mid range jumper, or turns the ball over at inopportune times, or passes the ball to a teammate without enough time to do anything.

Hawkins is a revelation. Fearless shooter and smart basketball player.

You can win with Zion if he can ever stay healthy. But you need to commit and build a team around him. BI and Zion don’t work. Jonas and Zion don’t work. You need to surround Zion with shooters and a rim protecting, rebounding mobile big. I think we have the shooters now, we just don’t have the center.

I'm mostly with all of this, except I think the real reason we have to move JV is that Green won't play him. He was good in this game when he played, at least for much of it, and in other games he's been excellent, and it just doesn't matter - Green isn't interested in playing him. He's just not. Doesn't like him. So if you're not going to play him, not going to use him, move him. He's been an ironman for us, he shows up every game, he does his job every night and he's not one of the top few earners on the team, and he gets nothing for it. Let him go to a team that wants him.

The rest, I'm with. Hawkins is playing fantastically so far this season, well beyond what you expect from a rookie, and tonight he was our most impactful player.

Yeah I saw them cleaning that up on the sidelines in the second half, it was his right hand. Stayed in the game so I don't imagine it will cause him to miss time

I know it's minor but why didn't we go after Biyombo instead of settling with zeller? He at least gives us something different in that position.

Sadly, we had the same issue with his mentor, Monty in his early years here. Not sure why the 3rd quarter is our achilles heel.
