Thread: November 2nd - New Orleans Pelicans vs Detroit Pistons - 3-1

  1. #51
JV has 9/6/4, we're still in the second quarter.

    Triple double watch?
    Basketball.

  2. #52
Matt Ryan sits for Hawkins to enter, and Hawkins immediately hits a 3.

We have shooters, bruh. It's finally happened.

  3. #53
    Jonas hit a 3.

We're up 19. Outscoring them 22-9 so far this quarter.

16 assists on 20 made FGS. And only 4 TOs so far.

I hope we dont forget how fast things can change when up in the first half. this game is nice and relaxing but that can change real quick.

Jonas looks good with the 2nd squad! Hs scoring ability is unlocked without our top 3 offensive weapons on the floor. There simply arent enough opportunities for him offensively with our big 3 on the floor.

Our offense has looked fantastic for about 3 games now. Even last game when the shots weren't falling and we were in a fatal drought, the shots themselves were good - we just couldn't hit them.

If things are going to be like this offensively all season, then I'm even more excited for when Trey gets back.

Hey, they were still getting good shots. They just don't always fall - Steph Curry shot 27% (17/62) from 3 over a 6 game stretch in the 2018-19 playoffs. The important thing is you keep shooting them and allow the law of averages to kick in.

They still work as long as at least 3 of the other players are shooters. So CJ + Zion, or CJ + Ingram works - what you can't have is JV + Herb + Zion + Ingram. Zion isn't a shooter, Ingram is reluctant to shoot 3s, and Herb can't shoot. So lineups involving those four always struggle; it's why Herb has to sit for Trey when he returns.

Edit: note, I'm speaking from a perspective of maximising Jonas here. Ultimately, you'd want CJ + Ingram + Zion on the floor and for the shooting to come anyway.

They took some mojo home from OKC.

The Bally update has been disastrous. Why did they break what didn’t need to be fixed? My lord

CJ has obviously taken a lot of things to heart in the summer. The guy will be an allstar at this rate. Not only that, this team should be more comfortable when we aren’t at our healthiest. Hopefully this continues. Guy is balling out of his mind

Pels finish the Q2 outscoring the Pistons 37-20, meaning they're now up 72-49.

23 point lead going into the half.

CJ has 25 points. JV has 12/7/4.

    Team is shooting 62/50/89.

Offense looks great. What a luxury it is to have CJ and JV on the team so that, when you're playing against pretty bad teams at home, you can be missing the top two guys and still have two all-star calibre vet players to lead the squad.

It works fine but with CJ and Zion on the floor you aren't feeding Jonas. On this 2nd unit he is the best offensive player on the floor and getting to show what he can do scoring wise

Missing some shots, playing a bit ragged now - we can weather it because we have such a lead but want to answer back soon. Can't let them get the momentum

  21. #71
God, we've gone to the ''1 shooter'' lineup again. Please someone stop Green doing this.

  22. #72
Dyson made a three, it's all the voodoo going on

  23. #73
Kind of wish Dyson would have just gone for the bucket there

  24. #74
Can we do a timeout please

  25. #75
Looked like Ivy wanted to fight CJ there
