They probably should have let Chet take the shot there.

Alright CJ hit them both game over
CJ makes two to close the game out. Pels win.
Jesus Christ, what a game. This has been both our worst and best showing of the year so far, depending on exactly when you look at the game. Wow.
Basketball.
CJ buries the free throw demons!
This one belongs to the Pels!
CJ clutched up wayyy late. Better late than never![]()
OK, this shows me Willie is learning to adapt. This is important!
CJ with 29/11/5
Zion with 20/9/8
JV with 19/9/1
Hawkins with 10/6/5 and 2 steals
Nance with 9/7/2 and 2 steals
Thanks guys.
Horrible shooting night for almost everyone, even by the end. Team finished with 39/31/58 splits. Zion shot 7/20, which is well below his usual standard (though in fairness, he did get screwed on a bunch of misses that should have been FTs) - meanwhile, Zeller, Ryan, Kira, Dyson and Herb combined to shoot 9/31
CJ starting the season hella strong. Can we stop getting hurt guys? And have a full strength squad for once
mentally strong team!
This was important not only for its own sake, but we play tomorrow night, which is always tough. Making sure you at least win 1 of the b2b is always important. Now that's sealed, we can play for a win tomorrow but even if we lose we still come out of it over .500
Zion A-/B+ for 35% shooting, not coming back on defense, and the worst +/- on the team? When he was on the floor, there was no flow -- just him forcing things with pretty inefficient results.
good game....go pels...
i hope they learn from this game how to stay focused and keep playing hard for good things to come about....
Zion's team worse +/- is largely a result of the rotation pattern. And he was excellent in the 3rd and 4th.
The problem is that we had a thing that worked (play inside out against OKC, keep shooters active on the perimeter, kicking out). When Zion was on the court with a lineup like that, it was awesome. The problem is that Green loves playing Zion with Herb and Dyson simultaneously, which happened multiple times, and just murders the offense. Especially if that lineup also features Nance, because he's not a real shooter either.
This is one of those games where if you look at the box score you'd think Zion was miserable all night, but actually watching what happened in context changes the perception. He sucked in the first quarter, was good the rest of the game.
Lead footed and no handle? Wow. Sounds like an absolutely awful basketball player that somehow scores on the best defenders in the league. With ease.
Perhaps the team is better when he's gone.
The reason I post here less and less and have found better pastures. This is tiger droppings level silliness.
Great gutty game. CJ has redeemed himself. Which I never doubted the guy in the first place.
Zion needs a mid range jumper.
Why does Jonas never come back into the game?
The FTs???
I'll take stupid wins anyday. The was opposite the 1st Laker game last year.
Someone needs to glue a sign to Willie Green's clipboard that just says ''STOP PLAYING LINEUPS WITH NO SHOOTERS IN'', I think that would honestly solve a significant number of our problems.
Toward the end of the game, willie played dyson way to long and okc realized that dyson was not an offensive threat then they just clogged the middle and slowed our offense down and okc started making shots and closed the gap.... cj and hawkins came in and opened the floor up and we were able to keep the lead....
They won, shocking but hopefully they can build on this for the next game.
Don't think they were taking Sharpe if Dyson was still on the board. They really, really liked Daniels.
Not Zions best game tonight but liked how he hit the boards. The Pels really need him to commit to rebounding every night. A hidden reason we pulled this one out despite shooting under 60% from the line and under 33% from the arc.
