And there was JOYOUS CURSING and glad tidings in my household tonight.
Minny deciding to have rudy down the stretch kinda helped us, cause reid did better defending zion and stretching out the floor as well

Just back from the Blender. Team seemed a bit "off" for much of the night (the bench in particular) but suddenly I looked up and Zion was nearing a career high. Great atmosphere and - it should go without saying - phenomenal effort from Zion, driving against a brick wall of 3 or 4 guys for much of the night.
I'd still like to see us take more 3's (Trey was hot - keep finding him!) .. but there's not much to criticize from this squad right now. Hard to believe we're (still) doing it all without Ingram.
Denver lost to Kings. Pelicans are now tied for the Number One Seed in the West.
MVP type stuff from Zion at the end there.
Seen a lot of complaining on Twitter from Wolves fans about that elbow to Gobert, but it was clearly within the shooting motion.
Basketball.
Bench contributed a total of 11 points tonight.
"This the crib... The city deserves this. The city deserves to have a basketball team. The Saints been holding it down for so many years, you gotta give them that respect. But this city deserves to have the Pelicans be great too"

Last year we were 13-22 on the 29th of december.
This year, we're 22-12. What a turnaround.
Only 3 pages? At least we are selling games out now. Winning cures everything !
Doesn’t this fan post here?
Thanks for making the trip @LyleSwithenbank

Sure does look good even if it's only 34 games in:

Dyson is so good in all aspects of the game .. except his shooting. He just can't finish!
I continue to believe his shot will come around and when it does, we have another special player. He's really fun to watch, especially on the defensive end.
Zion in his last dozen games:
29.8pts, 7.9rbds, 5.8asts, 1.4stls, 1.0blks on 64/36/73 shooting, 9.9FTAs per game, +9.5 bpm.
MVP level player.
What a fun ending to an otherwise frustrating game.
The Wolves did a good job of denying Zion the ball in the first half, but he could not be stopped in the final 6 minutes. The SKC was packed. We all knew it was sold out, but being in the building, you could really feel it. Big time performances from Zion (duh), DD (that offensive rebound off the Naji corner 3 was HUGE as was his defense on the final play) and Trey (5-6 from 3).
Can't wait to go back on Friday night.
Wolves and their fans are doing an absurd amount of whining about Zion after this one. It's December. Move on.
"He's playing football, we're playing basketball. We can't touch him or guard him."
