Perk apologied. Will No neck Windhorst go on air and say he is sorry?
Zion averaging 29/9/5 next year on 67% TS and leading the Pelicans alongside Brandon Ingram to 50 wins and a deep playoff run, who's in?
He was the one that started the whole Zion is not happy here deal.
Never forget

Okay an update. Maybe Windhorst is happy now

Distant how? All players are "distant" when recovering from an injury away from the team. I'm sure Kira was also "distant" while in Atlanta for rehab.
The only thing obvious now is how all these media folks, and the usual suspects on this forum, were blowing things up far past reality. Just to try and make it as much of a negative dumpster fire as they could for clicks.
Listen to that pod with Windhorst and Lopez from yesterday. They basically laugh about how rocky things were a few months ago before saying they can’t say specifics
Everything I have told you guys was true. You can choose to believe it or not. That’s on you. But it has done a 180 and that’s awesome. But it was really bad as recently as last December. It just was.

I'm just here to celebrate no player option. well done Griff and thanks Zion. Let's Dance!!
I can believe Zion wanted out then because last year was a lifetime ago for the Pelicans. We had a major culture shift. The team rallied around its first year coach, the rookies exploded onto the scene, we acquired a true vet leader, and made the playoffs and threatened the number 1 seed. Its not surprising that Zion would have been unhappy with the franchise direction before all that went down. And its not surprising that now he is happy with the direction things are going.
Local reporters also talked about certain people playing pianos in hotel rooms. While none of them knew of a whole broken foot for months. None of them could break any contract details.
But hey, people believe what they want to believe no matter how flimsy the proof is. That's how we got religion.
I believe the stories from December/January. I remember the word "irreparable" being thrown around. What I said at that time, and proved to be right ultimately, was that if we could just get Zion back in the building and get him around the team and the culture Green had built, that the wall could be broken down. My biggest fear at the time was that the family was intentionally trying to keep Zion from being exposed to that, and I'm glad that has turned out to be incorrect.
