Since its looking more and more likely we are getting a top 10 pick (and possibly top 4), I figured it would be interesting to see each others top 10 list. I will go first:
1. Chet Holmgren - fully acknowleging I am going upside here over safe pick but rim protection is a must for this team and I think he has the highest ceiling.
2. Paolo Banchero - Not the most seamless fit with Ingram or Zion, but I always go BPA. However, if Zion FULLY commits to the team, he would probably fall to 3 or 4 on my list
3. Jaden Ivy - Again, not a huge need right now but CJ is on the back side of his prime. Good guards are necessary in this league and I love his game on both ends
4. Jabari Smith - Great scorer but I dont know if he does much beyond that at an above average level. Have Paolo higher because of ball handling, vision, and things I have heard about Paolo's IQ and character
5. Shaedon Sharpe - Insane athlete with an all around game. Upside gamble, with him being the highest odds of any remaining to be an All-NBA caliber player
Drop Off
6. Keegan Murray - Like his potential on both ends. Size is why I have him over the next guy
7. Benedict Mathurin - Love his fire and stroke. Competes on both ends, would be a terrific fit from a culture and skill standpoint
8. Jeremy Sochan - Probably too high, but the exact kind of guy I love. Imagine Herb with more nasty and more skill
9. Adrian Griffin, Jr. - I know most people will have him higher but I dont think he has that killer in him. Maybe he is better in the half court with more space, but for now he is just 3-and-D with no playmaking
10. Dyson Daniels - Had a lot of guys right around each other, so this was just a fit thing as a tiebreaker. Could also be talked into Eason, Branham, or Davis here.
