White is a much better player in my opinion. He’s more than capable as a starter.

Ummm.. The income tax rate really isn't that much. He'll probably still be getting paid 10+ million. Also, players get taxed for playing in other states in road games.

If Taxes really matter... Ain't nobody be playing in Cali.

I was thinking of someone else. Derrick White is a decent player.

It's a hypothetical. And White is a much better player.

Just chiming in to agree here. White is very good and could easily start on a number of teams.

As always, stats without context don't tell the whole story but last year White was +2.3 in EPM, 53rd in the NBA. The only Pelican with an EPM better than that last season was Zion Williamson (whose EPM of +4.4 was 15th in the NBA).
    Basketball.

Realistically, what would Indy want for Malcolm Brogdon?

Kira, Satoransky, and the Lakers 2024/2025 1st, and I?d do it.

    Re-sign Hart and Hernangomez

    Lineup:

    PG: Brogdon/Graham/Alvarado
    SG: NAW/Hart/Didi
    SF: Ingram/Temple/Jones
    PF: Zion/Marshall/Murphy III
    C: Valanciunas/Hayes/Hernangomez

    That?s a nice team.

Whatever it is, we ain't got it.

As much as I like brogdon I really don’t wanna trade Kira. I really think he’s going to be special.

If Brogdon was really available... I'd felt he would of already been moved.

I think Brogdon was truly available for the Simmons trade and that was it.

I agree. I think Hield or McCullum make more realistic targets.

I think Hield could be had for Hart, Satoransky, and a 1st

McCullum would take NAW or Hayes, Satoransky, and 1-2 1sts. I would rather trade Hayes.

We need a win now player which we don’t have yet.

    Not interested in McCollum.

$30m+ per year for the next 3 years for one of the worst defensive players in the NBA who would come at a high cost? Nah.

And Hield is a defensive wizard?

Why would we want either when they play terrible defense? We need three and D first with maybe a cheap signing like Forbes sprinkled in.

So he is saying 20 points a night? Pelicanidae is very unimpressed with that trivial boast.

Exactly. Kira is going to be an absolute stud in this league. You do whatever you can to keep him.

We don't do context on this board, apparently.

No but he's also almost literally half the price

Not sure who the Pelicans would be getting in return in a potential S&T.

  22. #2572
dont want either, but dont follow the logic of passing on Dinwiddie for 3 years 60 but wanting Hield at the same price AND giving a first for him. I think Sac would dump him for free if they could.

Of the guys left and the pickings are slim, Danny Green fits the team the best. I think Ingles is a fantasy unfortunately.

To get that the Pels probably have to take on Love and his contract
It's that the Hornets unashamedly quit so quickly in Game 4 after fans in New Orleans showed up this season with greater regularity than the team could have ever dreamed, shaming misinformed know-it-alls like me who kept telling you that local residents couldn't possibly invest their time and money into something as trivial as rooting for the local basketball team while still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. - Mark Stien ESPN
