Pelicans May 14th - New Orleans Pelicans @ Golden State Warriors - 31-39

Zion, Ball, Hart are all out; Adams, Ingram, Iwundu all questionable.

Tonight we take on the Warriors for the third time, a series which is currently split 1-1.

We know what we know about Golden State. Racked with injuries to James Wiseman, Klay Thompson, Eric Paschall, and others, they have nonetheless been carried to the 8th seed by Stephen Curry having basically his best season since 2015-16. Curry's averages of 32/5/6 on 48/42/92 splits are absurd, and he has gone off for numerous scoring records for a player of his age (Curry is 33).

These numbers have only grown more intense as the season has gone on. Since April 1st, Curry has averaged 37/5/5 on 49/44/91 splits in 22 games, and doing so with a 14-8 record isn't bad either. So far in the 2 games that he has played against us, Curry is averaging 39/7/5; if he is able to score enough tonight to pull his average up over 40 points per game, he will be the third guard this season (after Lillard and Fox) to average more than 40 against the Pelicans; prior to this season, we had never had more than one player do that to us in a season.

Let's see what happens: do the Warriors bolster their latest hot streak, having won their last 4 straight and handing the Pels another loss, or do the Pelicans win another game and kill any chance at the 8th pick being theirs?

Other Games Tonight: Kings play the Grizzlies; we want them to win. Wizards play the Cavs; we also want them to win.
    Basketball.

So long as we keep Adams and Ingram on the injury tank and Curry plays, we should be good.
Just another Kiwi basking in the reflected glory of Steven Adams....bask bask...

Phoenix winning that game against Portland late last night kinda sucked. Thanks for the choke Portland.

This means there's no chance Utah can lock up the #1 seed and rest anybody for the final game. They lost all 3 games to PHX this year.

Utah plays Sacramento in the last game. Which they now need to win.

On the flip side, it could give the Lakers something to play for the last night when they play us. If Portland wins that game, Lakers have no reason to play anybody and maybe we win that game. Gotta hope Sacto somehow wins tonight and Bulls win their last game, as Milwaukee will likely have nothing to play for. But again, it all comes back to that pointless Charlotte win. Its our fault we are in this stupid situation.

I going all in on Warriors with the points and Curry with 30+ points.

Another episode of strange betting lines. I'm seeing this game as even or Warriors -1.

    Curry sitting tonight?

**Yes he is out. Curry, Wiggins, and Draymond all out.

    Oh boy.

We need to end the season with a bang. A good fight or a good ejection like Miami did last night.

Washington helped us tonight; they won.

    GO KINGS!!!

Watch us end up in a 3 way tie for the 8th lottery pick, because management decided to wait till 6 games left to finally tank after getting burned by guards 30+ every week. Trash.

Keep Bledsoe out there. His NFG attitude will lead us to the Unpromised Land.

Many people say after every game.

    "Kira is improving"

If what we are seeing is improvement, I hate to see regression.

It's the most annoying thing in the world. If we had just started the tank like, 10 days or maybe 2 weeks earlier (which is not a long time!) we could be in legit competition for the sole ownership of the 6th pick.

Wouldn't even have to have benched Ingram and Zion the entire time if that's what they were worried about, could have just put them on a firm minutes limit and had some weird mystery rotations - not like anyone would have noticed

This is true for about 70% of NBA rookies that enter the league at a young 19. Then again, human beings get bigger naturally from that age.

Everyone is playing bad, pretty hard to watch.

I expected NAW to throw up 25 shots lol, he's playing so reserved.

Yeah, it's much more weird when a 19 year old doesn't need to put on muscle
