Thoughts on this game (re-watched after, cause I was sleeping)

    - Good to win one, especially in dominant fashion
    - Good to see a bounce-back game in efficiency for Ingram
    - Lonzo and Bledsoe combined for 3 points on 1/11 from the floor and 1/5 from 3, which isn't exactly optimal.
    - Zion did Zion things with the 23 points in about 18 minutes
    - Glad that neither Zion nor Ingram had to play heavy minutes on the back to back
    - Jaxson was really really good, and our guys actually did a solid job of getting him the ball when he had the shot - a rarity for us when he's on the floor
    - NAW looked solid other than the 3 ball, loved his tenacity on the glass
    - Kira looked a bit out of his depth honestly, first time I've watched him play and thought ''yep, learning experience'' for a while

Also, apparently (according to SVG), Zion gave the post-game talk to the locker room which is great to hear. Take on more of that leadership role, man! Keep it up.

I'm not fooled into thinking this is a linchpin game where we suddenly become good after this dominating win; the Cavs aren't very good and they were starting Love who hasn't played basketball in 3 months (limited minutes, sure, but he was on the court and bad which never helps). Our primary moments of superiority came on offense, forcing Jarrett Allen to make decisions in PnR, and frankly the offense has never been our worry - it's always the D.

Still, solid stuff to see, looking forward to moving through our next game.
    Basketball.

Just also worth mentioning, since I posted it a few times last year as a joke:

Zion is now up to 1457 career points through 60 total games.

Aron Baynes is up to 3010 career points in 503 total games.

Zion is at 1457/3010, or, 48.4% of a Baynes in only 11% of the time.

Is it just me or does Bledsoe spend a lot of time falling on the court and not a whole lot of time getting the ball in the basket?

Do yourself a favor and ignore Bledsoe while he?s on the court. It?s a disaster. I’d bring back Tim Frazier in a heartbeat to get rid of Bledsoe.

That Zion bit makes me happy. He comes across as one of those guys that doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘lose’ hence he is almost always bringing it offensively whereas I feel BI gets a bit discouraged here and there. Also like that BI looks comfortable taking a backseat to Zion. I can appreciate his humility in that regard. Zion is just ridonk

Nope. I do think this time is different as we have two guys with superstar potential as opposed to one, so we are fairly better off. We can?t keep guys like Bledsoe in the starting lineup though. This team needs an opportunity to grow the right way. You put a team together when you have your core.

At this point you take any offer to get rid of Bledsoe. Heck I’ll take a bottom 2nd round pick for him at this point.

Addition by subtraction. You subtract an undersized, apathetic guy that will rub off on younger players. On top of that..his huge salary.

You add more playing time for youth. I'll take it.

What team does Lance Thomas play for now? I'll take him back over Bledsoe

Exactly. A free agent that can atleast make a layup.

Bledose's agent is Rich Paul. Bledsoe is doing this purposely to lower his trade value to the point Grif just releases him. He can just leave like Davis. We will move on.

Rich Paul is also Lonzo's agent, and Lonzo might have just had the best month of his career. Is Paul also making him play his career best, or does he only have the ability to command guys to play worse?

What seems more likely: Bledsoe, a known grump and malcontent on bad teams, is dogging it because he's on a bad team, or Rich Paul is trying to double bluff us with two different players at once for two opposing ends simultaneously?

Don't get me wrong, obviously Rich Paul is a shrewd agent who is willing to play the politics game, but he's not Professor X, he doesn't mind control everything. Much more likely that Bledsoe is just

    A) Not nearly as good as some people thought he was (Jrue got robbed)
    and
    B) Is a bad locker room presence who hates being on bad teams to the point that he's willing to sulk on court about it

I'm not even sure he's exclusively disengaged on bad teams. I honestly think he just doesn't like basketball that much, and on a team where he's not gunning for something like a title, that reality is going to rear it's ugly head moreso. There are tons of guys in the league like this. Plus I think the paradox is that, yes, we're a bad team, but we'd almost surely be much better if Bledsoe wasn't playing at replacement level. Like, dude has been that bad, if he wants to look at reasons why we're so bad he should start looking in a mirror.

Lonzo is in a contract year. Bledsoe is sitting on money

We were playing HARD defensively before the Pacers fiasco. If it takes one bad result for a 31 year old vet to crumble, I don’t want him on my team.

The one thing we all agree on is that he needs to go ASAP and the return doesn’t matter.

I am aware, but that doesn't change the point. Rich Paul can no more force Bledsoe to not give a **** then he can telekinetically guide Lonzo to 48% from 3 in February. If Bledsoe wanted to play hard, he'd play hard. He doesn't, so he won't.

    See Anthony Davis

As for JJ if he wants to be moved well then move him too. Who is running this team Stan or Griff. If it’s Stan then history says this ends bad.

For what it’s worth. JJ is in New Jersey. Josh Hart said it on his stream today.

I hope we can get something for him as I fear that Griffin will buy him out if one of his preferred destinations do not offer us something. Hoping the Knicks throw us a bone.

Did Rich Paul force AD to request a trade? I wonder when that happened.

It's great that the next game is against a really good team to test things out
