My question is when does the criticism get allowed? He was bad in the clutch last year, but you know, he's a young player who has ''just ascended'' so it's fine, we accept that. Now he's even worse in the clutch so far this year, but we can't talk about that either because it's only 28 games in. You're saying right now that if he's this bad still at the end of the year, we can talk, but why should I believe that? He sucked last year and we weren't allowed to talk, why should I believe that if we get to the end of the year and he still sucks you won't just turn around and say ''oh well you know, first year with a new coach, shortened season, gotta give him next year too''?
At some point you have to answer to criticism, and when you're being paid $28m and taking the most shots on the team on a daily basis, that point is now.
You're telling me I'm not supposed to be a ''chicken little'', which I'm sure you think sounds very clever, but there's a distinction between panicking and claiming the sky is falling and what I'm doing which is just saying ''hey, I wonder if my concerns that I had over a year ago and which have since been substantiated in a few ways might have been correct''.
The sky isn't falling, but it is looking stormy and I, for one, would like to remember to bring my umbrella.
