Josh Hart and NAW both questionable coming into the game. Killian Hayes and Jahlil Okafor are both out, and Frank Jackson, Sekou Doumbouya, and Mason Plumlee all missed the last game for Detroit and so are slight question marks tonight.
We lost the last two games, at least one of which we should have taken. That's bad.
Tonight we take on the 7-19 Detroit Pistons, the second worst team in NBA basketball this year. So let's see what happens.
21st in Def and 23rd in Off, the Pistons aren't much good at anything this year. They are bottom 10 in the league in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, and fouls. They are 25th in the league in 3pt% (35.1%) and 29th in FG% overall (43.4%), and they don't pick up bunches of points at the line either because they're only floating about league average there (12th).
Jerami Grant has exploded for them this year, averaging 23/5/3 on 44/38/87 splits - by far career best numbers - after betting on himself in the offseason. Good for him. After him, they have no player averaging more than 12 points a game. The only other guy who was, Derrick Rose, just got traded to New York.
Being honest, this should be another clean win. But we all know there is no game our Pelicans are not prepared to lose, so fingers will have to be crossed and we'll see what happens.
