— Pelicans PR (@PelicansPR) January 13, 2021
Probable
JJ Redick - Right Hamstring Tightness
Questionable
Eric Bledsoe - Right Eye Irritation
Out
Lonzo Ball - Bilateral Knee Tendinopathy
So, we skipped a game for COVID reasons. Hey, might end up skipping this game too, who knows? But for now it's a thing so I'm making the thread, even if it's super early.
I made it super early because I saw this PR update for the injury report. Some footage was released earlier today with Kira playing with the starters which prompted conversation about his opportunities, and then later that day it turns out Lonzo is out and Bledsoe is questionable for next game. Now, this may be simply wishful thinking here, but hopefully that means Kira gets 20 minutes and plays some with the starters and we can see how things go. If not, it's not the end of the world, but it's at least something to consider.
Of course, this means that the odds of us actually winning this game are fairly minuscule, but they were fairly long odds anyway so none of us should be too concerned. The Clippers have had some struggles early, but with Kawhi appearing to be on the rebound from a rough start and Paul George starting off the season strong, we were always in for something of a fight. Ironically enough, given their roster, the defense has been the largest issue for the Clippers so far and sadly our offense has simply not been consistent enough for me to believe we're guaranteed to take advantage of that.
Still, let's just hope the game goes well, we see some Kira, and he does some cool fast person stuff.
