Eric and NAW playing well now.
Poku is great because he looks exactly like everyone knew he would as a rookie.
So far away as a finisher and scorer that he shoots like garbage at all times, but he still makes like 4 passes a game that demonstrate the ridiculous potential in that role, and the movement is good. Great block/steal rates early too.
He's a project, everyone knew that, but it's still fun.
Basketball.
Zion has now taken the fewest shots of anyone in the starting lineup.
Bledsoe showing more of a slashing threat today which is big. Hopefully he keeps building on that and gets his 3 point under wraps
It's up to 11 threes (41%)
I still feel sick that we took the world's biggest project with 0 BBIQ at #8
Best case scenario is a marginally better Thabeet
...so?
Like, they have done large scale studies on this in NBA analytics departments. Having 2 fouls early in the game only increases your chance of fouling out compared to 1 foul by an incredibly small amount.
There's no justification for playing Zion eight minutes in a half.
NAW forcing his way into the rotation is good for us. He is a keeper (just not worth benching Bledsoe for, yet lol)
Quality half of basketball. Hope that's confidence building and they can keep it up!
NAW with 7 points off the bench in 7 minutes and got a nice deflection.
Sometimes coaches need to listen to us fans...
I could watch Adams set screens for BI all day
FIRST HALF THOUGHTS
1. Only 11 assists on 24 makes is unacceptable (still a lot of standing around)
2. Only 31% from three (Our shooters have have to cash in)
3. We have to find a trading partner for JJ, stat
4. Bledsoe's best half in Pelican Uni.
5. If our opponent has to shoot +40%, it can't be from three.
