Every time I see these unis my blood boils

I think I just needed to vent for a sec. I inexplicably cannot get over it. The robbery of the most fitting and beautiful team name & jerseys in sports history is just so maddening.

They should put a timer on it. Utah has 5 years to settle on their own crap. The jerseys and name comes back to nola in 2026.

NBA marketing and everybody knows in advance.

It's been so long I don't even care. Happy with Pelicans.

I with you that I don't care for the Jazz name. But don't lie and say you're happy with "Pelicans" lol.

I am literally fine with Pelicans. I think it's fine. Never understood the vitriol it gets. What's cooler about a Buck than a Pelican, or a Knickerbocker, or a Clipper? Nothing.
    Basketball.

I'm over it. Let them have it, pelicans have grown on me.

It's the combination of the name with those colors. Those of us in nola have to see those colors all over the city every mardi gras. Annual reminders and such...

I know they've tried to get the colors every year with the alternates, but year round would be cool.

Pelicans name is still young. In time with more reputation you couldnt imagine it different...think of it this way. When "lakers" were announced I can see the fan base saying like wtf is a laker...lame...blah. But time has imprinted that name as more then whatt it sounds like if you think of it without history.

Wait, seriously? There is nothing more perfect. It literally checks all the boxes. There's no chance you could dream up anything better. It would rank in the top 3 or 4 of total merchandise sales and #1 in local sales as a percentage of population.

You do realize New Orleans is the birthplace of Jazz? And that it's America's only truly original art form? And that it's why people around the globe know that we exist? And that it's at the foundation of why millions of visitors come here annually.

Having it Utah is a laughable farce.

It's annoying that they have that name. But I fear they'll never give it up.

Well, the Lakers name made more sense back when they were in Minnesota.
