I remember the line that said that we can't improve our draft standing against teams that aren't playing. Yet, we should at least be ahead of teams that where in the restart. Namely, the Spurs and Phoenix. I don't remember reading anything about our draft status being locked at the time of league stoppage.
It was locked. We will get either the 12th or 13th most balls - depending on coin flip with Sacto.
We will have a small shot to move up to top 4 and a very minute shot at having a team behind us jump us. Most likely, we will get 12 or 13, and that will be determined by the coin flip which probably happens at some point next week
Billy Donovan's contract's up this year.
Rumour: Minny interested in Lonzo.
Minny already has Russell on a MAX contract. I see no reason as to why they would be interested. Lonzo is too expensive for a depth piece for them.
I would gladly take Malik Beasley from them.
Minnesota? Surely not for Russell. And we ain’t taking Wiggins. Or we better not. Who could be the 3rd team?
What about this trade if Minnesota’s interest in Ball is real? It works in the trade machine, and I think it gives us great future flexibility.
Brooklyn receives:
SG Jrue Holiday
Minnesota receives:
PG Lonzo Ball
SF Lance Thomas
PF Nicolo Melli
New Orleans receives:
PG Spencer Dinwiddie
SG Caris LeVert
SG Jarrett Culver
PF James Johnson
C Jarrett Allen
Minnesota 2020 pick 17
Lineup
PG: Dinwiddie/NAW/draft pick
SG: LeVert/Reddick/Culver
SF: Ingram/Hart/draft pick or Didi
PF: Williamson/Johnson/draft pick
C: Allen/Hayes/draft pick

Well, contrary to popular belief... That's the most Minnesota thing that they can do in trade that they have no reason or benefit to participate in at all...
If we are trading Jrue to Nets
He's gonna have to package with Miller. Nets need cap relief, but they have nothing that matches..
2 backups and LeVert for a 3rd offensive option, elite defender upgrade in Holiday. Brooklyn is looking for championships and no longer developing young players as the primary focus with Irving and Durant.
Brooklyn Lineup
PG: Irving
SG: Holiday/Temple
SF: Durant/Harris
PF: Kurucs/Prince
C: Jordan
Look for Tyrunn Lue to Brooklyn as head coach imo.
I think Atkinson is our best head coaching candidate. Adding LeVert, Dinwiddie, and Allen, would give us young veterans to continue to build his culture/vision.
