If we can beat the Lakers on Sunday 8th should be in the bag.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Lakers pulling a tank job the night before they play us.. seems like a keep the pels out the playoffs trick
Grizzlies' help on defence was a joy to watch. Lakers played poorly but we must give credit to their opponents. It was so pleasant to watch the team I hate being smothered like this. I still believe if we play smart we can do the same.
Lillard coming back wednesday
They have the second easiest shcedule in the west and really lost zero ground on us
They were ahead of us. Now they're behind us. That's ground.
The thing is, these teams we're competing with, they're not as young and newly put together as us. They didn't deal with as many missed games due to injury as us. Ever if we were all even and had the exact same schedule, we are the team that's actually turned a corner and has hope for improvement.
We have a tough schedule upcoming so expect to lose a bit of ground but then we end with a cakewalk 15 game stretch and that's where we will separate from the lottery teams.
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.
BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.
The Lakers were giving us a “W” too. Nope 10 is good enough. Do your thing Lebron. That was us Sunday. We might need to ask the NBA to replay that Utah game if we have any chance.
Memphis final 17 game stretch is Death by 1000 cuts. Minus the Knicks---- They play Toronto 2x' -- Bucks-- C's-- Pels 2x's-- Houston--Port 2x's ---Utah--Denver-- Spurs---OKC---Dallas & Philly ! Juxtaposed to the Pels who will be favorite in 8 of final 10 games.
Flex bomb
The 8th seed race will be open all month
Welcome back #12
Tonight:
Pelicans: Win
Spurs: Lose
Wolves: Lose
Grizzlies: Lose
Blazers: Lose
Brilliant stuff. 4 games back, tied with Sacramento.
Next game up is @ Minnesota. Can't afford to cough up another loss to them. Need to take that one.
After that, we have Kings, Jazz, Clippers, but then we hit the easy stretch.
Hawks, Spurs, Grizzlies, Kings, Grizzlies, Knicks, Magic, Hawks, Wizards, Spurs, Hornets, Suns, Sixers, Wizards, Spurs.
If we can beat Minnesota and Sacramento, then we'll be up to 29-36. Then we'll probably lose Jazz and Clippers; 29-38. Then we go something like 12-3 against these teams to close the year, even assuming a loss to the Sixers (which isn't guaranteed because it's at home and the Sixers suck on the road) we'd finish the year out at 41 wins.
That's the playoffs. We hit 40 wins, we make the playoffs, is basically how I'm looking at it.
Basketball.
Memphis won
If the separation happens it won't start till about mid-March. We just need to hold as much ground as we can until then.
We would have a legitimate chance to beat Lakers too now that Lebron has publicly said he will not play in a empty arena.

Thank you, Cleveland. Nice OT victory over the Spurs tonight.
