Pump the brakes people. This is literally Ingram's worst game in several months.

And unfortunately the whole team looked confused and out of sorts when things got tight in the 4th. All they seemed to know to do was get the ball and take off like a chicken. Feathers flying in their wake.

So you gonna totally ignore that last part in his post

There is only one Kawhi Leonard and you can't trade for him.

There are probably three or four players in the NBA that I would trust to guard LeBron with any kind of serious success and none of them are getting traded.

Well Lebron has probably only 2 more good years. He cant beat father time so at least we dont have to deal with him and Zion will have taken his place by then.

That's what they said 2 years ago

Barring excess injury, I can imagine Lebron playing at a high level until he's 40. His athleticism has dropped, obviously, and it will continue to do so steadily but slowly over the years. But his IQ is still ridiculous, and he's actually better than ever as a passer. Even his defense is a lot better than people credit him for, as he's moved into playing the ''big'' role on D more often than the wing.

If Vince Carter is still going at it at 43 years of age I don’t see how Lebron can’t.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Vince Carter is not the Vinsanity he used to be cmon man if he plays until 43 he will not be as domniate but maybe I’m wrong and he’s the first 45 year old MVP

Nobody's saying he'll be dominant when he's 43, and nobody's saying that Vince Carter is the same guy today as he was in 2003.

But if Vince Carter, who showed signs of aging far earlier than Lebron did, can still be a productive and good NBA player at 43 years of age, there's no reason to suspect Lebron James (who is far better right now at age 35 than Carter ever was) only has 2 more good years in him.

At some point Gentry has to learn that Jrue cant guard Lebron by himself

Did I say Vince Carter was Vinsanity? No. I’m saying that he is still playing in the league, and he is 43. He will be the first to tell you he can’t get up like he used to, but he has sharpened the other parts of his game to stay afloat in the league. It’s not hard to imagine a tank like Lebron giving up the ghost any time soon.

This is the story every time we play the Lakers. I don't even get my hopes up at all.

The game is close until the 4th quarter. Then LeBron is like "Yeah, you have nobody who can guard me. I think I'll do whatever I want."

And then he proceeds to do whatever the hell he wants.

    LITERALLY. EVERY. DAMN. TIME.

He doesn't even have to do his patented flops. He just rapes us, and shrugs his shoulders.

Pelicans went 5/18 from the field in the 4th quarter.

    Zion personally went 3/5.
    Melli was 1/2
    Lonzo was 1/3
Ingram, Hart, Jrue, Favors, and Moore combined to go 0/8 in the 4th. Ingram himself went 0/5, Jrue 0/2.

We had 19 points; Zion had 12 of them. Lonzo had 4, Melli had 3. Nobody else even got to the FT line.

That's a horrible quarter for the team.

LeBron was incredible and he was really hyped for this game.I thought the Pels did well until the 4th despite Jrue and BI both putting up stinkers.Zion is the truth he is the heart and soul of this team.I'm tired of beating up Gentry it is what it is.This is who the Pelicans are unless the get a better coach and get more dependable players who don't choke under pressure.

I think the reason we lost is that we are running too fast for our own good. Lakers are not budging, after four losses it is clear as day we cannot outrun them. However our defense is affected by our offensive tempo. As a result we just can't maintain enough defensive intensity and perform as a single cohesive unit. What I don't understand is why we are so reluctant to help on defense. The night before in Memphis (yes, yes, don't tell me Lakers played like crap) Grizzlies were doing a fantastic job when somebody got beat one on one close to the rim. Our players, on the other hand, usually do not come to help or constantly blow the timing. And it's frustrating to watch.

Memphis has a bunch of smart team defenders on it, we don't. It's a little more complicated than that, but not much.

They were down AD and Caruso.

Zion's last 7 games (since missing the Indiana game)

    Vs Portland - 31pts, 9rbds, 5asts, 10/17 shooting in 28 minutes
    Vs Oklahoma - 32pts, 6rbds, 1ast, 11/19 shooting in 31 minutes
    @ Portland - 25pts, 4rbds, 3asts, 10/17 shooting in 29 minutes
    @ Warriors - 28pts, 7rbds, 2asts, 13/20 shooting in 33 minutes
    @ Lakers - 29pts, 6rbds, 3asts, 8/18 shooting in 33 minutes
    Vs Cleveland - 24pts, 3rbds, 2asts, 11/16 shooting in 30 minutes
    Vs Lakers - 35pts, 7rbds, 0asts, 12/16 shooting in 33 minutes

29.1pts, 6rbds, 2.3asts per game on a total of 75/123 shooting for 60.9%FG in an average of 31 minutes per game.

This is ridiculousness. And yes, while it's true that some of these teams are bad, Lakers and Portland are 4 of those 7 games and both of those teams are top 5 in defensive fg% differential at the rim; that is, they're two of the 5 best rim-protecting teams, which is Zion's biggest offensive skill. These should be the teams that he struggles most against. Nope.

What's so exciting about this is that while this is insanely good, there's still obvious room for improvement and I believe in his ability to make those strides. We still haven't seen even 75% of the defensive player he was at Duke, and I'm confident that that will be something he brings into his second year at a higher level.

I really like Jrue and there are not many players I would trade him for but he has the tendency to disappear. His fit on this team is looking suspect with Ingram.
    SIGN A SF

Dude must've just watched the highlights. That L was embarrassing.
Actual proof Greivis Vasquez can throw Anthony Davis an Alley-OOP on an (kinda) fastbreak!
