Great 2 half and great win guys!

Lakers next huge test to see where they are
Come on, Pistons!
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.
BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.
A win against LA would be a real momentum swinging game, I think. Not just because it's a win against a good team, but because of the symbolism of the big trade last season, and because they're the 1st seed. They're our playoff matchup if we make it. That's the target.
Basketball.
Zion keeps adjusting and creating so many problems. I want more aggression from BI.

Taking a look at some shotcharts from tonight's game.
Ingram's is just... not pretty.

3 shots total within about 6 feet of the hoop; 2 made baskets, which is good. But the fact that he was having some success at the rim makes the rest of the shots even more confusing; why did he take 4 FT line jumpers? He missed all of them. 1/4 on midrange shots. Just not what you want at all.
Jrue's shot chart is just a tale of 2 halves. Here's 2 shot-charts: one is for the first half for Jrue, the second is the second half. Look at that difference.

That second half shot chart is gorgeous. The difference in aggression is visible; the attack on the basket far more sustained.
Speaking of a sustained attack on the basket:

Do you think the other players get a tad irritated when ESPN shows only Zion highlights for Pelicans games?
AD might not play Tuesday

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd Detroit blows it.
Zion is averaging 29 PPG over his past 4 games and scoring an average of 1.6 points per shot attempt. He's also averaging nearly a point per minute in that stretch.

Superhuman stuff for anyone, much less a 19 year old who has only played a dozen NBA games.
Zion over his last 4 games:
VS Portland: 31 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists. 10/17 shooting (58.8%) in 27 minutes, 52 seconds. Win.
VS OKC: 32 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist. 11/19 shooting (57.9%) in 31 minutes, 26 seconds. Loss.
@ Portland: 25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists. 10/17 shooting (58.8%) in 29 minutes, 17 seconds. Win.
@ Golden State: 28 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists. 13/20 shooting (65%) in 33 minutes, 8 seconds. Win.
Combined that's 116 points, 25 rebounds, 11 assists on 44/74 shooting (59.4%) in a total of 121 minutes and 43 seconds.
29 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists per game. Again, 59.4% shooting.
Career total of 274 points now equates to 0.102 Baynes.
Never heard James Worthy complain about Magic's attention.
Never heard Cedric Maxwell complain about Bird's attention.
Never heard Joe Dumars complain about Isaiah's attention.
Never heard Tony Parker complain about Tim Duncan's attention.
All have won the ring multiple times...so why complain.
Portland won by 3
Advanced Stats for Tonight

Best TS%: Nicolo Melli, 125%
Worst TS%: Lonzo Ball, 16.7%
Highest REB%: Derrick Favors, 17.2%
Highest AST%: Jrue Holiday, 48.4%
Highest Net Rating: Zion Williamson, +31.1

Most 2pt Contests: Favors and Lonzo tied with 4
Most 3pt Contests: Favors, Ingram, Zion, Jrue, Hart all with 2
Most Boxouts:Favors with 1
I think it's telling that we struggled a lot with defense in that first half, and that as a result, all our contest numbers, boxout numbers, and deflection numbers are lower than usual
Zion has now tied RJ Barrett in 20 point games.
He has played 12 games. RJ has played 46.
I don’t think the players get irritated with it. A few days back one of the guys on Lebron’s rookie years Cavs team was asked if Zions teammates were going through what that player and his teammates went through during Lebron’s rookie year, and he said that those vets didn’t care, and they were mature enough to handle being asked about Lebron. Our team is young, and I am sure that someone(s) might have some envy, but each of these players have also been the “HOT” new thing, so they are all probably aware that this comes with the territory (at least I hope that’s the case).
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Zion Williamson is the first rookie to have 4 straight games with 25+ PTS on at least 57% shooting since Michael Jordan. pic.twitter.com/ymuJJdlbyH

Ingram had to take a step back offensively he's not going to get as many shots with Zion being the first option. I think he's adjusting well making some very nice passes.Ingram doesn't come across as a selfish player to me I don't think it's a big deal.Winning games is more important than just getting stats.
Per synergy, Jrue Holiday is scoring 1.153 points per possession on isos. That's No. 1 in the NBA among players with at least 100 isolation possessions.
— Will Guillory (@WillGuillory) February 24, 2020
And he's doing it while drawing far fewer free throw attempts than the elite iso guys.
So now since Dec 18th team is 19-10, which would be 8th best in the league and 5th best in the west. OKC is 1st at 23-8.
Tied for 5th in Off rtg, 9th in Def rtg, 5th in rebound % (tho 16th in defensive rebound %), and 3rd in pace.
