Gentry has got to get his *** up and tell them to hold for 1 shot there.
Maybe the taunting will wake us up.
Technically we are waking up....I just want to be Captain Cliche.
Good positive energy.
But also, yo mama's fat.
Yeah, we're mostly woken up. The problem now is that even if we're playing better (which we are, much better, though still not perfect) they're hot. They've got their eye in, warmed up, basket seems huge for them now. It's too late; they're on fire.
Only solution now is to try and play extreme defense, but I don't know if we can do that consistently.
Down 13 they still don't want to give Moore that foul.
All blame please direct at Moore for losing this game with his 5 minutes!
Man.
This is like watching the Globetrotters against the Generals.
Y’all can’t say this isn’t coaching. These guys are playing iso for 2 quarters now. Every shot they have taken is stupid. They have no idea what to do. All the jazz are doing is letting them shoot dumb shots. It’s not hard to defend them at all. Sad that this is the state of this game.
He's shooting 61% at the rim, his lowest since his rookie year (8% lower than last year, for example) and shots at the rim have make up only 26% of his shot profile, a career low down 9% from last year.
That's why I've said so much of his scoring is slightly unsustainable. He's shooting more 3s, but that hasn't come from cutting down on the awkward midrangers, it's come at the expense of efficient looks at the rim. When his midrange heat wears off (and it has been, he's currently shooting 50% from the midrange, down from 68% before his injury, which is still very good but obviously a decline) his problems getting to the rim and finishing there will become slightly more unpleasant.
