Hayes is singing Like a Prayer.
Fun fact, the drummer on Like a Prayer was Jeff Porcaro, the drummer from Toto. Great track.
Zion: ''I don't get paid enough for this, first off...''
YOU ARE GETTING PAID MORE THAN NAW AND HAYES.
SING.
ZION can't sing along to Whitney Houston because he doesn't know the song or the words.
It suddenly just hit me that he's 19. I feel old and I'm only 22.
Jrue: ''Griff's gonna say something to you, something inspirational. And Motivational.''
hahaha
Griff's making Zion hit some big dunks to make up for choking on his song GREAT
He just alley-ooped it to himself off the backboard for a two handed slam. Nothing TOO crazy, but good to see it after the misses earlier.
Great open practice, even with the late start.
that entire thing was just great that's how you get the city to come awesome that deserves an applause

Jaxson Hayes signing Like A Prayer and was very upset they didn't start the song at the beginning.

it was fun to watch, but the streaming technique left a lot to be desired.... replays are fine, but not at the expense of half the action...my take from this? this bunch is going to be a lot of fun to watch when the bell actually rings....
"we might make dollars, but we don't necessarily make sense"
"always be sincere....whether you mean it or not"
Another observation from the scrimmage you could tell that Melli is used to bringing the ball up after getting the rebound as the second point guard like he talked about. Something that will work to our advantage at times

has anyone heard anything about Favors? I might have just missed it....
I liked his assured play. There was a moment where someone (Can't remember who) got really up on him on the perimeter, so rather than panicking or forcing a bad pass he just took him off the dribble to get in closer for the FT line jumper.
That's big. Having a stretch big who isn't just stationary but can actually create another shot for themselves is super useful. He's got a lot of promise, I can see why other teams tried to bring him over before.
Derrick Favors was held of the scrimmage because of tightness in his hamstring, Trajan Langdon said.
— Andrew Lopez (@_Andrew_Lopez) October 6, 2019
Apparently just soreness. Must be a precaution thing, didn't want to risk anything. Makes sense for a pre-season scrimmage.
Trajan Langdon says the familiarity with Will Weaver (Long Island Nets) is big when it comes to Didi and the Sydney Kings. Langdon says he's going down to Australia in 10 days to catch up with them.

Just a little bit of Didi knowledge! Good to hear that we're keeping close contact.
