I was hoping we would be able to get Rudy Gay but looks like the 76ers are after him hard and i’m sure the Spurs want to re-sign him too.

Nets getting Irving, Lakers interested in Russell? Is Leonard out in Laker Land?

I’m hoping we don’t break the bank with Horford. I can’t justify in my brain why we would inject that old of a player for that much money for that long with the team we have.
I like Horford but I don’t like the contract and duration he will want.
I’d rather us go with a younger option
Let this sink in
If Horford signs, I already know all the bad narratives they will say. And I dont have the energy to squash them all. But the one you guys MUST fight is that Griffin is making same mistake Dell did

Griffin will have a win now roster PLUS a ton of picks, including all his own
I kind of prepared for a hopeful 4/90 million. 22.5 per year
. We will still have a max slot next year if I'm correct. I feel like there is no way he is coming on any 3 year or 3+1 deal.. If he did... He probably resigned with the Celtics.
Remember... The reason that they ghosted the Celtics was because Horford agent could find a better deal. I think he about to pull Rich Paul and lose his player money. They should of taken the 30 million player option and feast in next year weak FA class with a 10 million cap bump.
Dont assume Horford would eat up all the space if signed. I have said forever that I am thinking as if the Pels have 40 mil in space going into this summer, because i assume Moore is gone one way or another.

I dont think a Horford/Danny Green combo is impossible
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.
BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.

Nikola setting the market at 4 yr 90 million would be the best thing ever.

Feels good to have a competent front office that does not settle for bad deals.

Sounds like we got outbidded
I can confirm @TheSteinLine's report that the Pelicans won't be in the Al Horford sweepstakes after all. The bidding went a little beyond what they were willing to do.

I mean, I heard...

Go with what Sham says if Grif. Is talking to him.
As I mentioned in the article, the 4th year could very well be a sticking point that leads to both sides moving in different directions.

I'm a huge fan of no 4 year deals, have been very vocal about that on the pod. https://t.co/Dsbt5DDwK9
League source confirms, Kings have interest in free agent center Dewayne Dedmon.

Mentioned Dedmon-to-Kings possibility in my free agency preview last night. Makes more sense for Kings than longer, more expensive commitment to someone like Vucevic or Horford. https://t.co/JaKhCt4SRc https://t.co/gvXACoRxLU

Not being in on 4 year deals means we’re not going to be in on a lot of guys who will be interested in 3+1 deals with player option. The Horford thing is really interesting. Stein has gone back and forth, but seems to be on the Horford beat more than any other national reporter.
Side note: why do all the local guys always quickly confirm the National reports from Stein/Woj/Shams? I mean, why aren’t they breaking this info if they have it to be able to confirm 1 minute later?
My best guess on Horford, is we were among several teams his agent was negotiating with and it’s possible none ever got to the 4 year $112m number.
Or it’s Atlanta.
