I was. Knew that 107 words per minute typing would come in handy one day

Zion and I had this conversation about playing in New Orleans before the lottery. Nobody else knew that. I am so thankful, and I told him then that I thought this city would be a great place to go, and God worked it out. So on behalf of my family, I want to thank everyone who was involved with it, and Zion's stay in this city will be well worth it. Thank you.''

Wow, great unexpected addition to the presser there.

@ Pelicanidae thanks for the transcript!
Actual proof Greivis Vasquez can throw Anthony Davis an Alley-OOP on an (kinda) fastbreak!

I’ve seen and heard nothing but great things from his stepfather. He seems like a hell of a man

    No problem!

It's 11pm here so I was totally free but obviously in the US a lot of you guys will be at work, or college, or with your families/kids, or anything like that. Figured that just throwing up some transcripts would help guys out who can't watch right now.

I watched the press conference live and I still came here and read the quotes because it was hard to catch a few works every once in awhile. I appreciate it.

His step father giving that message at the end was crazy good. He's already cemented himself as an OG for Nola.

There's nothing more I love than a family with values and good heads on their shoulders. These parents raised a standup kid, and I'm so happy they're apart of this organization.

Big respect to Alvin as well. While I do have my quibbles with him as a coach at times, he does seem like such a cool, genuine guy and he handled this presser really well. Spoke well, was funny and likeable, said all the right things.

Loved him saying he's gonna let Zion shoot a lot.

The rest of the pictures that were taken after the presser. It's crazy how much seeing him wearing that Pelicans red jersey just makes it all feel so much more real.

Love the pictures of him joking around with Gentry. Looking at those pictures just re-confirmed the height thing for like the billionth time. If I recall, Gentry is basically 6'5, and Zion is clearly multiple inches taller than him.
