Thread: 2019 DRAFT DAY THREAD

Interesting phrasing here, "if they don't trade down." Maybe move up one spot for RJ?

    • Thursday, 1:25 p.m.: The Knicks will select R.J. Barrett with the No. 3 pick if they don't trade down during Thursday's draft. (Ian Begley, SNY)

I’m thinking we are keeping the #4 pick. Griffin would have made the move by now. Garland is an excellent choice at #4

Nahh some big trades do happen during the draft to see who's still on the board when they make these trades. However in not ruling us out of taking the 4th pick though

Usually a team waits until they are on the clock to finalize a deal in case someone falls to them that was unexpected. A deal likely is already be agreed upon though.

I was wondering about this. Would you tell another GM if these guys are gone we will go forward with the trade. If one of them, say RJ or Morant fall, then we keep the pick? Would it really be that simple?

That's how it normally goes... that can be said for other drafts as well especially the NFL.

"If our guy isn't available we'll make this trade".

Yes. It is more unusual to trade picks before the draft than during it. And it usually is a "hey, we're interested in trading if the right player is there".
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.

BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.

Just saw on Hoopshype that Turner isn’t getting moved. Sounds like talks stopped when Jrue wasn’t offered.

Zion, again, looking clearly larger than another guy listed at 6'6. And Bol Bol, looking like a boss from Bloodborn

Wow. Popeye's trying hard to court Zion but his dress clearly shows he's siding with KFC.

    DAMN

In that screenshot he even looks taller than Bol Bol! Zion for 7'4?

Ignore the perspective. Bol being like 5 feet behind Zion doesn't matter. Perspective is a trick by the government to make you pay more for stuff.

Heavily annoyed that Zion is going to be the #1 pick and is universally lauded as the best prospect in this draft and he still decided to dress as a minimalist pimp. Man's rocking the 2003 Lebron draft suit, just fitted.

Edit: my man's wearing a smoking jacket, good GOD

    Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn
Minnesota has traded No. 11 and Dario Saric to Phoenix for the No. 6 pick in the draft, league source tells ESPN.

EDIT: Who is Minny targeting with their newly acquired pick?

Yep, saw that. That's why I listed #6 and #11 as having moved.

I bet they probably take a guard, someone like Coby White maybe?

I have a feeling Griff isn’t done. I doubt he keeps all these picks he’s collected. That’s s lot of rookies.
