Gentry Trending on Twitter...NBA Fine Coming Soon

For blatant tank job. I hate tanking, but if you're going to, #DoItBig
    Tanking since 2009

And some will continue to defend Gentry. Well at least he got tanking right. Joel's reaction is priceless. Right on the mark.

I didn't watch the end of the game. But my god, that was embarrassing.

    What is wrong with you?

    That is masterful. Classy. Ambitious.

    We just outtanked the TankMachines.

Genuflect because you just witnessed art.

Josh Jackson can laugh at us the day he stops being absolutely garbage at basketball. 22 year old can't even get 25 minutes on the garbage rebuilding Suns because he's allergic to shooting above 41% from the floor and has a -24 net rating. Negative win shares per 48 minutes both seasons he's been in the league. Dude needs to keep quiet.
    Basketball.

After last night, anyone has a right to laugh at that debacle. This is the NBA where there are assistants on top of assistants to keep track of the timeouts. We were even told we had no timeouts on the previous inbound (the 5 second violation). No excuse whatsoever,

For his soul’s sake, I hope Gentry was tanking. Otherwise, well done senpai

I was laughing too. It was laughable nobody including our HC knew the very basic basketball situation, then don’t know they are out of timeouts. Yeah I was laughing at our stupidity too at the arena. Joel Myers reaction is perfect. Know the situation and Josh Jackson is not laughing.

    But the tank lives on.

Don't care. We're allowed to make fun of our team, cause it's our team. He's not, because he's not on our side. It's like a friend's thing, you know? If your friend makes a joke about you, you take it in good faith because they're your friend. If someone you dislike does it, it's not the same principle even if it's the same joke. The forum can laugh at us for the blatant stupid tank job and the idiotic situation. Josh Jackson can't.

It was just embarrassing for the whole league to watch that. It was embarrassing for our players who were playing their hearts out. Regardless of the tank or not, we're not even close to a top 3 pick, so who even cares? You play to win the game regardless of the situation. You don't go out of your way to lose. That reflects poorly on our franchise, when we're trying to build ourselves up after this AD debacle.

I mean, the chances of getting a top 4 pick are hugely altered by one or two positions even at 7-9. Our current chance, from losing that game, is 1 in 4. If we had won that game, it would be 1 in 5. 20% vs 26%. Actually a difference worth caring about.

The most fortunate thing for us is that people actually assume we did that intentionally.

The truth is after watching the replay a lot, that was 100% not on purpose. Miller was confused after the 1st found not realizing we had a foul to give. Then once the inbound pass happened he was afraid to foul because he was so out of position and not prepared and just guarded the shot. Once that happened all panic ensued and Gentry was legit trying to advance the ball to get a shot to win the game.

This reminded me of Jr Smith in the finals.

Yeah, that wasn't tanking, it was simply incompetence of biblical proportions.

And we deserved being laughed at by the opposing players & rest of NBA.

Dude Josh Jackson isn't some random player that saw this and laughed. He was involved in the game and hit the actual game tying 3 of the game for the Suns. He can laugh because not matter how awful of a player he is usually, he hit the shot that tied the game which the Pelicans proceeded to then give away in absolutely humiliating fashion.

Josh Jackson is not allowed to find anything funny, ever. Pin that to the front of the Sun's arena like Martin Luther with his Theses.

Why all the hatred for Jackson? He made the one that counts!
