Very perceptive post. What many people miss is that the guys who go on the floor are fighting for their future livelihood. They have no interest in performing poorly so as they are out of the league and replaced by someone younger at perhaps a cheaper price. Granted, some fans recognize that the players are playing to win but think it is OK to pull for them to lose so as to improve the future of the franchise. I could never do that for any team I support because that means you really want the guys on your team to go home disappointed. I also don't think it helps you improve your franchise. Draft is a crap shoot and establishing a winning culture is the best hope for future success.
