Basketball.
.....oooooooh.....these petulant *******.
End of the first, we are up 39-31 despite Golden State shooting lights out (over 50% from 3).
AD has 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks.
Jrue is up to double figures
We have 13 first quarter bench points.
This team is like a bad relationship.
2nd quarter starts:
First possession, GS get their offensive rebound cause Pels were ball watching, Miller commits lazy foul to give up and-one.
Second possession, Okafor commits a pretty lazy offensive foul just lowering the shoulder for the charge.
Nice
Curry just fouling instead of defending. Good for us, but kind of pathetic to see a 2x MVP refusing to move his feet on D.
The Warriors have been awful to be fair, but good stuff
This is the kind of lead you need to build.
They WILL have a run. At some point, they'll rattle off 10 points in a minute. It's just gonna happen, almost inevitably. Building a 17 point lead and keeping turnovers down is how you weather that.
So everyone feels safe and comfortable, right?
Let's see how they handle prosperity now, we've seen this before against this team. Fortunately, Niko is on fire tonight so we are getting scoring from other places. If AD, Jrue, and Randle have an average night and Niko continues to go off we should be good.
Crazy to say that if the refs were calling everything, Curry would have fouled out already.
''Just cause he falls down doesn't mean he got touched. Or hit, or clipped. Or bumped.'' - Wesley
My internal monologue 90% of all games.
Don't like Jrue falling in love with the three. He's 2 of 5 now and just keeps taking them.
Does Curry drill those fall-downs?
Does he practice that? Like, just throwing the ball wherever and then flinging himself to the ground.
End of the first half, we are up 71-66.
AD has 16/11/2
Jrue has 11/5/5
Niko has 21/2/3
We kept it to 4 turnovers for the entire half.
Golden State had 8 turnovers, but they also shot 44% from three. FTs were pretty even, so it's not even like we're getting bailed out by refs or anything. This game is all there available if we can put up a demonstrative third quarter.
