This scenario is not unbelievable - and I would be VERY VERY happy if this played out like this. I'm sure Davis would too.

Completely apologise about this. They showed a graphic last night and they’ve changed the format where 1 & 2 are in the same half of the playoff tree. Sorry ... my mistake

Huh? Isn't it still set up so that 1 and 2 seeds will face of in the conference finals? A change to that format to have 1 and 2 meeting before the conf. finals wouldn't make much sense.

Nope... the graphic I saw in the blazers game clearly showed 1v8 and 2v7 in the top half. Which made me think myself... s**t I better apologise to that dude on PR.

found it ^^^ hopefully that attachment works if you click on it. So basically finishing in 3-6 places gives us a good chance of getting to the conference finals! Seems like a completely nuts and unnecessary restructuring but if it helps us....

Yeah, NO ! Your post is incorrect. The NBA does NOT reseed after every round. NBA & NHL do. 2 totally separate brackets. 1,4,5,8 will always be in a bracket & 2,3,6,7 will always be in a bracket .
