Yeah, Joe signed with the Rockets. This division just got harder.

If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Yes can we please sign Williams! That's the exact player this team has been waiting for. Kid has a ton of talent and fits in perfectly. Can play both SG and SF while being arguably the best dunker in the NBA. He's a ridiculous athelete and is good around the rim. He's a 2 way player who at times plays great D along with a knockdown shot from deep. Already plays in a very similiar system in Houston so the transition should seem less. We need atleast 1 more wing player and he's the best fit out there. Would be a great addition to this team boosting the athleticism, youth, and talent.. this would add more roster flexibility as well possibly allowing us to insert Miller in the starting lineup.

we have one player on two-way
but we cannot sign another one this year. the deadline for it passed.
FWIW yesterday Jrue reached 2.075 minutes played whole season
it was likely incentive in his contract and he received bonus of $255K.
It may be smart to sign Williams after he clears waivers (48 hours after waiving)
The question is - will he come here
Williams won the DLeague Dunk Contest in NOLA if that means anything.. he's coming back to NOLA!?
Oh I wasn't saying whether they should or shouldn't sign him to that spot, only that it's an available roster spot right now.
As far as signing him all season goes, yeah I probably lean towards doing it this year with a team option for next, but I'm also curious to see who else gets released. If Brook Lopez does then I'd probably want him instead depending what we do with the other spot.
Ian Begley: Knicks are one of several teams to express interest in Troy Williams, per league sources. Williams is expected to make a decision on his next destination soon. The 23-year-old 6-7 wing was waived by Houston to make room for Joe Johnson. NYK has an open roster spot at the moment. – via Twitter IanBegley
Heh. Should be fun. He clearly has the most to gain with us if it's between us and the Knicks. Knicks will be a lottery team. We're a winning streak from the 5th seed or so. If he's a big part of our run, he can make good money on a playoff stage. New York just has it's market size going for it, where it doesn't really matter because he's not gonna be a max guy...
Unless he is a max guy.
Troy chooses Knicks. From Shams: Free agent Troy Williams is signing a 10-day contract with the New York Knicks, league sources said. Williams decided among several interested teams since release from Houston last week.
It makes sense to choose a place where you can play while on 10day.
Probably Dell did not wanted to give him rest of the season deal from the start. And probably it is not a bad idea
First.
We do not know for sure how many minutes might be available for him. Assumin Solo returns soon.
TBH I have hard time with finding any.
NY might have some.
Just wondering, but is there any other team you guys know off the top of your head with 3 players who are missing the entire season?
RIP FlyGirl
We are right there with everyone else (in terms of players missing the entire season).
