Lillard and CJ aren't going anywhere. Neither are Beal or Batum.
I would like to trade for Bledsoe and Chandler
sign CJ Miles and either Patrick Patterson or Ersan Ilyasova
PG- Bledsoe, Cook
SG- Holiday. Crawford, Jackson
SF- Miles, Hill
PF- AD, Diallo, Ilyasova/Patterson
C - Cousins, Chandler
That is what I would like see happen.
Yeah, big pipe dream. Looks like it was discussions around Lin Bledsloe and Smart.
But i don't really understand smart, he doesn't really do point guard things better than Jrue, doesn't shoot well but is very good on D. Offensively he doesn't really fit into what we're doing

Nice article form Jason from BSS ('42') about our notguaranteed players (contracts) and options with them.
thanks for claryfing that we can use 'old' NG contracts as a trade pieces (salary counts)
Someone wanna tell me why would we want Marcus Smart? I've watched precious little of Boston's games. He's still a plus defender, I imagine, right?
Asik + 1st + 2nd for Wilson Chandler - Denver stretches Asik
Sign Rondo for 3/25 w team option on last year
Sign Casspi for BAE
Re-sign Cunningham
Rondo
Jrue
Chandler
AD
Boogie
Moore
Hill
Casspi
Cunningham
Ajinca
Can someone explain to me why anybody would want Rondo on this team? This is not Rondo with the Celtics. He's 31 years old while being injury prone and to top it off is terrible in the locker room. Don't want that guy anywhere near this team. He has been flat out terrible for years while having an ok season with the Kings 2 years ago. His assist numbers are very misleading when any PG in the NBA could put up those same #s if they chose to play his style which is not a formula for winning. Can someone who wants Rondo give a legit reason why?
Rondo showed he still has stuff left with how he finished out in Chicago last season and the playoffs. He had them up 2-0 on Boston before he went down.
But depends on what you are bringing in Rondo for?
As a second unit guy on a 1 year near minimum contract that can set up Crawford, Moore, Diallo and lock down opposing guards off the bench? Maybe 10-15 minutes a game at most?
Yeah, sure, why not? He and Cousins got along pretty well and its the type of move that can be flipped in a mid season trade if he is at least mediocre.
Rondo had a couple of good games and that means he's worth bringing here to potentially ruin our locker room? Yea I think I'm good on that. He's 31 going on 32 with multiple injuries that have hurt his athleticism. Try watching the rest of the season he played besides 2 playoff games and tell me that's what we need. Ball does not leave his hands until the shot clock is down when he knows he has a chance at an assist. His defense is nowhere near what it use to be. Kills all floor spacing with guys begging him to shoot. The cons he brings to our team far outweigh the couple pros. Is it just a coincidence he has played for 4 teams in 4 years? We must know something those coaches and GMs don't about his personality and talent.
He had more then just two good games.
From February on he started to look like a solid player again.
I'm not knighting for the guy, don't really care if we don't sign him TBH, just pointing out there is reason to do so if you stop only looking to confirm your biases. He and Cousins had a good relationship, and he still can be a positive contributor in the right role.
He wouldn't be my first, second, or third call, but on a minimum contract for 1 year or so, I wouldn't lose my mind over it.
I mean for a minimum deal, yeah ok sure.
I just don't think Rondo would take a minimum deal.
Basing Rondos play for a month over what a stat sheet says doesn't tell the whole story. Go watch him play and you will see one of the more frustrating players in the NBA to watch. He's frustrating to watch and I have no investment in his team. A few coaches have broken his play down on ESPN why at times his stats look ok but he is killing the teams success. Only system Rondo plays into is his own system. If he had a half decent shot I would maybe consider it but going on 32 as a shell of himself defensively and can be a serious problem in the lockeroom is a big no for me. Still have yet to hear a decent positive for bringing Rondo in. His assist #s are all you can really point to and like I said that has been broken down by multiple people with far greater basketball knowledge than anyone here on how they are inflated because of his style of play that does not result in winning.

I have watched him play a good bit, that is the only reason I am saying what I am saying. Chicago and Sacramento. You don't want him for your various reasons, that is fine. You haven't really made a convincing argument to me about why I should change my opinion.
But I am not going to go any further with this. You have convinced yourself you are right, and seems nothing I am going to say is going to convince you otherwise, so I'm not really interested banging my head against the wall trying to discus or argue this with you.
