I agree the East is in bad of shape (though not as bad as people are saying). The Bucks and 76ers are super young, and in 2-3 years you could say that they both have 2 top 25 players (Mil- Greak Freak, Jabari, Phil- Embiid, Simmons, Fultz). The Wiz and Celtics are solid teams, but they were clearly punching above their weight class this past season, this upcoming season could be a different story though as they will be seasoned.Originally Posted by N.O.Bronco

I'm going to guess Bledsoe since it was stated the suns will look to go young since they couldn't land big fish. Makes sense for them to take a pick and they still have Ulis and knight. But not sure that makes us elite.
Will Barton would be my choice. Young athletic wing with length. Plus Denver is probably looking to shed some salary now.
He only makes $3.5 million. Not sure that does a lot for them in the way of shedding salary.
Trading for Bledsoe gives us a real solid shot at resigning Boogie. Not only does Bledsoe fill a need, but he's close enough friends with Boogie to have him as a groomsman in his wedding. Players like playing with their buddies.

Haha nah man. I think we're targeting those 3, and whichever one Dell can trick into coming here is the one we get. So, it would only be 1 of the 3.
But there have been rumors that Bledsoe is available, and the Suns are willing to take back bad salary for picks. So, something like Asik and QPon + 2 picks for Bledsoe would work. Does Phoenix do it? Idk...

The kicker is that, if we're able to trade for a starter, then we also still have our full MLE to add a good role player (or 2) + the BAE.
So something like:
PG - Bledsoe, Crawford, Cook
SG - Jrue, Moore
SF - Hill, MLE (Swaggy?)
PF - AD, Cunningham, (BAE)
C - Boogie, Ajinca, Diallo
That's a really solid roster

If that is intended to be a hint at the 3 players we are calling about, for some reason, I would think it may be Lin, Smart and Bradley as Boston is looking to shed salary to get Hayward at a max. Not really a big fan of Smart.
Smart isn't my favorite either, but I see why some people like him. While I like Bradley, I really get the feeling we want a lead guard so that Jrue can slide off the ball. Bradley doesn't help us with that.
I'm wondering if we can make a trade where we get a TPE, where we can absorb a guy like Smart into the TPE for a draft pick. I believe I read a scenario where we could acquire Lin from Brooklyn for Moore + a filler and a pick, and we'd get a TPE. Then we flip a 2020 pick to Boston for Smart (Danny loves future assets, and our 2020 looks intriguing to teams that think we'll fail). A situation like that would give us 2 good perimeter players just by being creative with the cap + we still have the MLE.
I'm pretty sure he means Lin, Smart, and Bledsoe since he was high and mentioned Bledsoe alot lately. However, his "insider news" tends to be really cryptic and without details. That way, if it doesn't go through (like normally it doesn't) he doesn't have to owned it. I feel like if he really knew what's going on than he would mention more names or just say "the pelicans seem to be interested in......" But he likes to tease info which makes it sound like he's making it up.
That would definitely be a top 4 team. However, if we get Bledsoe than Ajinca and Moore would have to go due to salary and assets to get him. I like the MLE for CJ and Collison, and BAE on a big like Thomas Robinson. My ideal team would be:
PG-Bledsoe, Collison, Cook
SG-Holiday, Crawford,Jackson
SF-Hill,C.J. Miles
PF-AD, Cunningham,Diallo
C-Boogie,Thomas Robinson, and Diallo

Jeremy Lin- 2018 first
Marcus Smart- 2018 first
Eric Bledsoe- 2018 and 2020 first
If that were feasible, which trade do you prefer?
And I hope B isn't Basemore
Do we send Asik out with any of them?
Let's say Moore and Qpon across the board.
What are their contracts?
