Give credit where credit is due. There were other teams trying to get Cousins. Demps was the most aggressive, and he played his hand well. Sure, there was a lot of luck that Sacto was so stupid, but it's not like Demps was the only suitor. The Lakers just fired their GM because they missed out on such a great deal. Celtics fans were going nuts. Suns fans, etc...

Well none of those teams had Heild (who the Kings view as the next Steph). I'll give him credit. If I am crediting him for the Bayless blunder I will give him credit here as well.

Frightening. The only defense is hoping Solomon Hill doesn't hit all those open jumpers. If we could add someone with a deadeye 3pt shot, watch out.

Lakers insiders expect that Kupchak was fired because he failed in swooping for players/FA. And the turning point about their FO decision was failing to get DMC.

Insiders expect that:
1. if the change in Lakers FO was made before ASG - DMC will be a Laker.

The scary thought is we can do whatever we want. We have 2 bigs who have the versatility to do anything you ask. They can hit mid range, 3 pointers, dominate the post, pass, and dribble. Gentrys system couldn't have 2 better bigs in the NBA for it. Everyone acts like he doesn't like bigs which simply just isn't true. We don't have the bigs worth playing and now we do. Teams are going to have nightmares defending these guys.

I'm most excited about the soundness of our team defensively. Not a single minus defender or awful offensive player in the whole starting 5. When's the last time we could say that?

Exactly, the whole starting five is great defensively (or has potential to be as AD and Boogie can get even better) and it seems we wont have to worry about offense

I read here that it is more Kings beeing stupid than Dell doing a great deal. The credit to Dell has to go back to the draft day when he drafted Buddy. Remember how everybody thought the pick would be traded? Not only didnt he trade the pick but drafted Buddy over Murray. Many here blamed him for that and fricked out a few days ago when Murray won the MVP. We wouldn't have gotten DC without getting Buddy first.
