I can remember off-season 2015 or 2014 we had Casspi in our roster after a trade but he did not want to be here. Wonder if we cut him or keep him now, we don't really need him with Cunningham and Hill doing the same thing he does.

That treadmill of misery wasn't Cousins' fault. It was 100% on the ownership and front office. Just look at their drafting since Boogie has been there:
2011 - Drafted Jimmer over Kawhi freaking Leonard and Klay freaking Thompson, and this is after trading down.
2012 - Drafted Thomas Robinson over Lillard, Drummond, Barnes.
2013 - Drafted Ben Maclemore over Giannis and CJ McCollum.
2014 - Drafted Nick Stauskas (aka Sauce Castillo) over.. well, it's been a surprisingly mediocre draft so far, but Stauskas was beyond awful in Sac.
2015 - I'll give them a pass on WCS but they could've had Devin Booker.
And these are just the notable players they missed out on. In most cases they could've just blindly thrown a dart at the draft board and would've likely gotten a better pick.
And then there's the coaching carousel, which included coaches that I wouldn't trust with a middle school team like Paul Westphal, Keith Smart, and the senile version of George Karl.
And giving up Isaiah Thomas for nothing.
And the list goes on and on.
I'm happy for y'all getting Cousins and I'll definitely follow this team now - AD and Boogie have the potential to be the best front court in the history of the NBA. But as a (former) Kings fan, of all the dumb things the Kings have done, this has to be the dumbest. Visiting the lottery every year hoping to acquire an elite talent, and then throwing away the only such talent they have had in over a decade for basically a bag of chips - that's beyond stupid.
Oh, and as a bonus they tossed in my second favorite King as well. Omri was amazing last year - always plays with lots of energy and good things happen when he's on the court. This year he had bad luck with injuries and a coach who preferred a 36 year old Matt Barnes because of their shared history, despite Omri being unquestionably better, even in a relatively down year. Omri was a fan favorite in Sac (and one of Boogie's best friends) and throwing him in was just another big FU to the fans. Expect a lot more former Kings fan to join this forum.

I'm not sure. Last report was he should be back after ASW but this has been kind of a mystery injury that's been dragging on longer than expected. But if he is back and healthy, I would expect him to thrive under Gentry (again, I haven't followed the Pelicans but I'm assuming you guys play a more fast paced game than Joerger's Kings, which would be a much better fit for Omri).
Tyreke just retweeted the video where Cousins finds out about the trade lol
Buddy Hield named his puppy "NOLA." Awkward.

Hi everyone, I was a Kings fan who's going to follow DMC in this new part of his career. You will love Boogie, when you will know him better you will see that he's a great guy. Hield for Boogie... Demps should be the Executive of the Year, no doubt.
Casspi is a very underrated player. He makes dumb mistakes, but he always plays hard. Last season he was one of the best players on the team. This year he just couldn't get any chance, I guess Joerger didn't like him. He's also very close to Boogie, so it's great to have him too.
What I'm finding funny is most fans seem to have forgotten Jrue Holiday plays here. Even more that he's been playing like an all-star top tier point guard lately.
Cousins being here should cut down on the dumb turnovers in the 4th.
Y'all PUMPED!!!!

It's that the Hornets unashamedly quit so quickly in Game 4 after fans in New Orleans showed up this season with greater regularity than the team could have ever dreamed, shaming misinformed know-it-alls like me who kept telling you that local residents couldn't possibly invest their time and money into something as trivial as rooting for the local basketball team while still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. - Mark Stien ESPN
^ well that didn't quite work as planned =(
Can't believe we will have someone to finally take the heat off AD! COUSINS baby! Just hope he leaves his baggage at Sacramento.
So do we have any draft picks for the 17' draft?
