Also, good God, Valentine's shot looks pure at times.
And for a guy who had rebounding listed as a weakness, Chriss's getting 16 boards is encouraging.

Calling Maker a beast based off SL is jumping the gun just a bit.
And my point is you can't compare an actual 19 year old who needs to go through Strength and Conditioning and bulk up to someone who is easily 4 years older. You might as well compare Diallo to AD as well.
And without getting into all the details because it's well documented elsewhere, Maker is without a doubt older. He graduated high school in Australia in 2010 then moved to America and started back over in the 8th grade. His official documents will say 19 and that's why he was able to game the system, but we are talking about a person who spent 10 years going through 8-12 grade twice.

One player I really like who has had a good SL is Kyle Anderson. Would love to snag him from the Spurs. Would fit in great for what we need. Can play the SF position and be a stretch PF. He has a similiar skill set to Draymond Green. Very versatile player who can handle the ball and play some point forward. Has improved on his 3 point shot a lot which will make him a very good player if he continues to improve. Doubt the Spurs have any interest in moving him especially after getting rid of Diaw but I like his game a lot.
Jimmer could average 20+ ppg in the NBA I'm sure. It would be with him having the same role he had in college taking all of the shots. If it's not built around him he doesn't seem to have any impact. Very surprised he hasn't been able to make a role for himself as a 3 point sniper or bench scorer. Seems everytime he gets that chance he blows it. He should be dominating SL. If he could actually run the point he might have a shot at being a contributor but he hasn't shown that ability.

Murray has looked very good tonight. Nuggets are going to have a nice young back court. Let's hope Buddy can be Buddy Buckets tonight so we don't hear a bunch of premature told you so. Dunn and Maker have looked the best in SL so far while for the most part the other top 10 picks have all had their night. Would love to see Buddy go off tonight.

still think Murray is too slow.
Haha fair, to me though that's more indicative of his teammates than of any passing excellence of his own.
In any case, I feel that Murray, despite having only spent one year in college, is adjusting to the speed of the nba better than Hield. This probably has alot to do with the SL teams as well though, and I guess at the same time its exciting that Hield still has decent projection for improvement, if you consider his ball handling ability alone.
Wait. Why are people praising Murray again? Because he scored 29 points on 25 shots? Because he sure didn't give them anything else.
I think the biggest difference and what makes this impossible to judge is Murray has other shooters around him. He also has an NBA PG in Mudiay.
Buddy on the other hand has Diallo (who is still very raw and needs to add weight) and some bags of chips. I can pick out plays here and there for a handful of guys but it's been really tough to watch.
Yes it's kind of hard to really get a feel for the 2, when one team is pretty good and the other is a joke. I think Murray is gonna be a damn good offensive player, but he will never be great cause I just don't see him as an all around kind of player. Now can he get to that all around good to great player, yes with work. I think Buddy is a way better athlete, defender, and rebounder. I would say shooter as well, but Murray has a nice shot just not as good as Buddy's yet..
Sounds like Kris Dunn has been shelved per concussion protocol till further notice.
