I feel like Brown can be that Westbrook type of pick in this draft. He needs some developing like any player. If you do develop him then you will be heavily rewarded. He is one of the most explosive players around the rim I have ever seen. He showed flashes of being great and sometimes people expect to much out of freshman. Somehow this mindset if they don't dominate then they won't be great which is simply untrue. Some of the best players in this league stayed until seniors and still needed a little time. Brown has the potential to be a Leonard/Butler type of SF. You fix this kids shot while just help him work on his game and you could have a super star. I would consider him with the 3rd pick if that's where we were but I think I would take Heild. I would be ecstatic if we can get Brown at 6 or 7. He has more talent then anybody in this draft not named Simmons or Ingram. I think that's exactly what we need is a player who can be a super star. Nobody should be scared of a player just needing to be developed. Having decent stats as a freshman isn't concerning to me at all.
Brown is an absolute freak. Posted a few game highlights below along with his season highlight reel.

I will say this.
I do not like Brown and have a bad feeling on him....
...but if we will fall to 7 (God, no!) - he is one of my candidates to take...
Brown is a good consistent shot away from being a star. He has other things he needs to work on but has everything you want in a player to develop. He is an elite athlete with a amazing strength and great size. He is very good getting to the rim while already showing a very nice euro step similiar to Harden. He shows he has the ability to be a very good passer with good vision. Can be a very good rebounder with some more experience and awareness. Has all the tools to mold him into an elite defender. With Pack and Erman working with him I feel good about him becoming a great defender. Our coaches have done a great job working with the players shots. Brown is a perfect player to mold into a very good shooter. I don't know what you could possibly not like about him except his down year which as a freshman it really isn't. Some players take 2 years while some need 4 years to be great college players. Anybody we draft will have to be developed and IMO Brown is the perfect player to develop. Like I said nobody should be scared of developing a player and we will get our chance with him.
Man I don't know how you can like Brown and not Dunn. Other than the shot, Dunn doesn't have to develop those other tools. He already has them.
As far as Brown goes, I like him better than Stan Johnson but he is way too reliant on his strength. He looks great when going down hill. He's really going to take a while to develop imo
So if we would get the 1st or 2nd pick our best lineup would be..
Alexis Ajinca
Anthony Davis
Ingram or Simmons
Tyreke Evans
Jrue Holiday
That's some serious height and length!!! I don't know how I just realized that but that lineup could seriously give some teams trouble.

Used to be RekesNotWeak(had to drop that name lol) and haven't been on here in a good while. I really hope we get Kris Dunn if we don't land a top 2 pick. There is just something about him that makes me think he will be the 3rd best player in the draft. I see this draft like a poor mans 03 draft at the top. You got Lebron(Simmons), Melo(Ingram), Bender(Milicic), and Dunn(D-Wade). I don't know why, but Dunn reminds me of a Marquette D-Wade, but with better handles. Now I'm not saying that all those guys are like their counterparts, but more of just as a talent comparable to coming into the league. Dunn and Wade were both juniors, had the same number, almost identical looking shot, and played for kind of similar schools in Marquette & Providence. No one thought D-Wade was gonna be an absolute superstar coming out cause he for sure would of went ahead of Milicic and Bosh. Playing that lottery game on ESPN I got mostly 6th or 7th, but a few times I got #2! That would be an absolute dream and there is no way I trade it for Jimmy Butler. I'm hoping we get no less than pick #6 and guaranteed one of the top 5 guys on my board, so that would mean Bender goes in the top 5. My top 6 picks would be:
1. Ben Simmons (play him at SF and small ball PF)
2. Brandon Ingram (would love to get this guy at SF)
3. Kris Dunn (looks like he could fall to whatever pick we get hopefully and has star written all over him IMO)
4. Buddy Hield (was my top guy after the big 2, but like Dunn's versatility and upside more)
5. Jamal Murray (I would take him in heartbeat as well)
6. Jaylon Brown (not a huge fan, but he's my guy if the rest were gone and he declares)
Welcome back and i started the Dunn bandwagon, check my sig lol, but his injury history and his inconsistent jumper gives me pause. I would love him though, I think he is the true Batman we been looking for to compliment AD (Robin). He is going to kill it in interviews and i can see this franchise falling in love with him.
i dont get why so many people dont like Dunn. Is it because of the turnover ratio or jumper? He is going to have high turnovers, he's a playmaker, and usually the top playmakers in the league also lead in turnovers, look at westbrook. Dunn also has a better ast/to ratio than westbrook had in college. As for his jumper, it has potential, and a jumper is the easiest thing to fix, and I think we have a great shooting coach. As for everything else, his size, athleticism, passing and defense are very good. And he's ready to contribute now.
I think most people here do like him. Not only does he have some issues he isn't a good fit IMO. I would rather go with Brown who I think is the SF version of Dunn. People act like Brown had some terrible year and that really isn't true. Brown has so much potential it's scary and he fills a huge need with his versatility being able to play SG and SF. He needs to be developed along with just natural improvement from experience. We fix his shot and we have a star. It's not like he has a broken shot either just some consistency issues that needs some minor changes. If he is a hard worker we could possibly have the next Kawhi Leonard. Developing a player does not scare me and really any player we draft is going to need just as much development but what they can't develop is Browns athleticism. I won't be upset with Dunn I just think there are some better options and fits. His injuries are my main problem with him and is a little scary considering everything we have been through.
I think a lot of his turnovers that I've seen have been on REALLY great passes that his teammates just were not ready for. I think with NBA players around him, he gets more assists and less turnovers. I think he is by far the 3rd best player in the draft. I think it's a perfect fit cause AD would thrive with 2 ball handlers getting him the rock on alley oops! Sorry but there is not a small forward worth drafting in the 3-7 range, unless like I said those other 3 guys are gone. We draft Dunn and then get Batum or Barnes, watch out! I like that he's not a 19 year old kid. I want him or Buddy Hield cause they are a little older and more mature. I just think Dunn's ceiling could be really great and Buddy not as high. If Buddy was like 2 inches taller lol. I think by the time the draft comes around, Dunn will be likely coming off the board a lot higher than he's mocked now. Kid just oozes BBall IQ with tons of Swag!
Then with the 2 high seconds we could get maybe Wayne Selden and Taurean Prince! What?!?! I want a wing and a power forward with those picks that are also upper classman as well.
AD-KD 2016 stands for Anthony Davis- Kris Dunn 2016.
Dunn just have that special aura about him. It's like I can really see a special and amazing player he can be. He, Heild, and Simmons are all players I get that vibe from. But moslty is Dunn. He has a DWade presence about him that I just want on our team. Dude is a great legit and passionate leader.
Anyone know what the knock is on Taurean Prince? He seems to have great size, length and shooting. Is it that he's a little older that he's being predicted to be a late first rounder?
Isn't really a threat offensively. He's a very good player but as a senior you would like to see more. I like him a lot as a late 1st round pick. He's the kind of player with hard work can be whatever he wants to be. I think his draft position has to do with being a senior and having just good production but nothing special.
My dream offseason would be to hit the #2 pick and land Brandon Ingram. Then after DeMar DeRozan opts out, sign him to be our new shooting guard. I've always wanted to see him in NOLA. Have Reke be cool with being a combo guard 6th man. Sign Tim Frazier to be our back up point guard. Also wish we could dump Asik's deal, but that ain't happening. Sign David West to a cheap one year deal to back up AD and retire in NOLA. We would end up with a decent 2 deep depth chart after all said and done.
Then stay healthy and make a run at the Warriors! LMAO!
C: Asik / Ajinca
PF: AD / D West
SF: Ingram / Cunningham or QPon
SG: DeRozan / Reke
PG: Jrue / Frazier
The more and more I think about this draft I don't think it is as weak as I first thought.
Cleary its Ingram and Simmons but after that I'd be happy with Heild, Murray, Dunn, Brown or Bender.
Unless we luck out and get a top 2 pick we wont be getting our 2nd banana through the draft.
This will come in free agency.
This years pick can happily be the 3rd or 4th best player on the team.
Everyone feels there are 2 sure fire picks. Really after that it's a crap shoot. There is so much pressure to pick a stud in the top 10 and if you miss your considered the worse gm ever. So my question is if we don't land 1 or 2 why wouldn't Dell want to trade down? If he gets lucky with the pick it'll be said to fall in our lap and if he misses he is a poor evaluator of talent, he's in a can't win situation. If he was to trade down and get either more picks or a good PROVEN veteran then at least he got one good player and one he can roll the dice on the pick or roll the dice with 2 picks.
Unfortunately I've posted a number of times I would trade down. I still want a pick back because I feel you have to build somewhat through the draft but the pressure of hitting the pick or picks is not so great.
