Thread: Draft Prospects Discussion

Murray seems nice, 6'5 but has a short wing span and is explosive with a nice shot. What do you guys think about Peltl? He gets comparisons to Bogut.

This is exactly what a band aid looks like. Deng will change everything! That's what we need! And MM perosnal favorite Marvin Williams!

Please God let Demps gets released. Dude is literally scaring me what he will do with our pick

The Pels will never recoup those two lottery picks. Holiday has a known history of a reoccurring injury. I think Hood would be a solid third or fourth option for the Pels, but I really like Jackson. His skills translate to the next level with his handle, speed and play making abilities. You stated Jrue and Davis have chemistry. Jackson and Davis will have synergy. Davis will rise to that elite level with a play making point guard. Jackson can do for Davis what Nash did for Amare.

Actually Holiday has only ever had the one leg injury, which is now supposed to be fully healed. Not saying it's never coming back, just saying that he is far from have a recurring history of injury. Also neither you nor anyone else has any idea whether AD will develop chemistry with this guy, all we know is that he has developed chemistry with Jrue.
Hey @okcthunder - you guys suck! Our top players are hurt. Some are dead. Some don't even like basketball. And we still kicked y'all's asses!- @TheFakeMonty

There was a player who was seen as injury prone during his first years in the nba.
Now all of the sudden he is MVP...

Who knows what Jrues future will be.
Was he worth 2 picks? I do not now.
Based on his play this season he might be.

Mozgov and Dragic were worth 2 first rounders each.
Not top6 like Noel but still.

We don't know the future but we know the present. We also have to make decisions now for the future. The chemistry between Jrue and Davis has resulted in what? Is the team winning? Is AD a better this year? Did AD make the next step? Better individual stat lines?
This thread is about the draft not how this chemistry propelled the Pels into playoffs. Gentry's scheme is PG oriented. It's the job of the PG to make the team better. This team ain't better. SO tell me who provided the chemistry last season with AD?

Our best player is a big man.
What's the best way to get the most out of your big man?

Put him on the floor with players who can shoot and punish double-teams.

    Jrue - Shooting
    Hield - Shooting
    Pondexter - Shooting
    Davis - Superstar Big Man
???? - Passing Big/Rim defender (They can't ALL be shooters? Can they?)

If the NBA draft has taught me anything:

Players with dreadlocks are all "high-energy" guys.

I would of loved if we had taken Meyers Leonard over Rivers. So to answer your question, yes, yes they can all be shooters. I mean of course in retrospect I would of preferred Draymond but you know. If any team truly foresaw that he wouldn't of gone in the second round, and after Festus Ezeli for GS.

The only caveat to having a center that can shoot is most of them can't additional defend the rim.
    Except for the Latvian Unicorn.

Leonard is actually a solid rim defender. Hustles too.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't start him 36 minutes or anything but he could of certainly been our technical starter like Asik for 15-20mins a game and then fall back into the Ryno role after this offseason. He still struggles with consistency.

But we live with our choices.

Lol trade Holiday for Hood? Yea what a great idea! I'm one of the biggest Hood fans but trading Holiday for him is crazy. People are saying he would be a great 4th-5th option.. Lol who in the world is the 2nd and 3rd with Holiday gone? That would be a step on the wrong direction. If we traded for Hood I would love to do a draft pick with him still being very young but not Holiday. I'm a ND fan and to say Jackson is the answer is reaching big time. The guy is good but at this point he does not show he is even close to being a lock as some NBA player that elevates ADs game.

I wish we would just bring Jason Smith back. I think he would be a great fit at center for us especially with the minutes we play them. If we could just add Jason Smith and Jarrett Jack to our bench with BDJ/QPon/Ryno they could be one of the best benches in the league.

I don't care who we draft as long as the guy pans out. These picks are so damn hit and miss we really can't afford to miss on our pick. Bad position to be in having to rely on your pick to be a very good player.

Would you all consider trading our pick for two picks in the mid-late first round with sayyyyy.. the Celtics

Timothe Luwawu and Demetrius Jackson may be a safer bet than either of the guards

depends where we pick, but as of now, no, i would keep the 6th pick over 2 late 1st round picks.

If we will have 10th worst record I will call Denver for 15 & 18th pick.
I see a drop in talent after 8. And between 10-20 don't see a big difference this year.

So with top8 I would not trade pick.

For the sake of argument, let's say you are right....so, what do you think Denver sees?
"we might make dollars, but we don't necessarily make sense"

"always be sincere....whether you mean it or not"

I think Luwawu goes top 10 and outside of

    Ben

    Ingram Brown

    Murray

I think he's the best bet.

I see Denver with pick in top-6. And two in late lottery/mid First.
    And a young team.
They may want two better prospects. Than one better and two 50-50.

Situation like BOS last year with trying to go up in the lottery.'

    good point.
Hard to answer correctly. For sure it was not Jrue

Probably team had the same goal. Everybody believed in PO. Motivated by Monty.
With the help of two veteran midseason addition...
    Now it is gone.

Denzel Valentine is good. Dude is good. What a game today. It was really impressive and I wouldn't be mad if we drafted him. Even Draymond Green is impressed with him. I think I like him better than Dunn now as a player though Dunn's life story is amazing.
