One thing that isn't considered at all is the difference those guys make by just a couple having on nights even if the guys last night shoot terrible. That's the whole thing with having more talent is when most of your team is off you can still expect a few guys to have their night and pull you through to a win. Just say everyone last night was off still along with even Cole sucking but QPon hits a few open 3s on a decent night and Reke puts up a decent game then guess what? We win the game! Talent we are missing is that extra punch needed to pull you through off nights by near the whole team. When they are all clicking you kick people's a**. When some are clicking you beat bad teams and can close out games against good teams. When just a couple are clicking you can still beat good teams while most of the time having enough to beat bad one. We are missing that big time.

More then anything else I think depth and quality of talent is the problem right now. No two ways about it. We currently have 3 legitimate healthy guys that belong in a 8 man rotation on a fully healthy playoff roster: Davis, Gordon and Ryno. Everyone else(including the ghost of Asik given how he has played) are guys that would be outside of that and we are trying to win with that.
However I do still have concerns even when healthy. We just have so many players that can only do one or two things or are incredibly streaky and when they have off nights things get ugly. Too many one way players/streaky players that have little to offer if they aren't "on" in their particular area of skill that night and I don't think our baseline of performance is one where we can afford more then a couple of our utility players to have off nights.
Frankly I hope I am dead wrong and Cole, Qpon, a healthy Jrue and Evans come back and this team goes on a tear the rest of the season but I m not convinced yet.
Yea I agree and all along this was going to be a process. We are no doubt better when healthy but we were still going to need changes this off season along with the next. We have lots of $ coming off the books in the next year and 2 years to improve this team with better fits. If Reke is a good fit we can resign him or look for a replacement while doing some things this off season also along with a draft pick. I'm with you on part of me wanting to just have things go bad all year while the other still wants a play off berth. The question is which benefits our team and future? That's what really matters and I think it's a draft pick. I would love to see Holiday really start playing well after the restrictions while some other things maybe don't go our way getting a nice draft pick. I just would like to see Dell get a chance to do a rebuild his way with a vote of confidence from Loomis so we can do things the right way. Our best player is only 22 years old while the rest of our core is just entering their primes. In the next 2 years we can make some big changes while seeing who works and who to keep.
I would love to not see Demps be the trigger man on another deal. We are full of roll players (his speciality), we now need key players (not his specialty).
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
I'd like to know/see the difference in coaching input for players to target. Dell might have his own thoughts, but how different are the targets Gentry and team want, vs what monty was after. How much does it fit/differ with Dells thoughts. If they are on the same page, then that's all that really matters.
