I actually agree tonight. Bad decision on Gentry's part. If we are gonna go this small go with the hot hands in Ish, Jrue and Douglas.

Davis pretty much just iced the game for them on that walk and Ish then getting lost on defense.

  3. #128
Ish Smith 3? are you kidding me was that the best call.

I can't wait for the post-Gordon era, can't stand him

They never caught up and it's hard to dig out of a hole that big, teams go on runs.

Pelicans, masters of the A1 tank game. This team plays only when it wants to. Everyone except AD needs to go. Sick of it.

Moral of the story(and the season) when you are this short handed you can't win games playing only 2 out of 4 quarters. Just won't ever happen against 98% of teams in this league.

The 3rd quarter woes of last year have gained a sibling in the form of 1st quarter lethargy.

I thought we had finally turned things around. Huge dissapointment

Jrue isn't good he's a below average player offensively and struggles to defends on screens. Gordon just sucks that back court just doesn't work. Asik is horrible and we don't have one compentent sf. If this team doesn't look completely different next year AD will not be here long.

    1-6

I just want to see what this team looks like when finally freaking healthy
"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin

I agree I can't pick out anyone on this team that is actually
Worthy on being on an NBA team ATM

Time for Demps to go. He has had enough time.

I know there is still a lot of season left, but this is really frustrating.

I hate to say I kinda knew it but I did. We won those games because our replacement guys over excelled while our key guys had good games.

We are a team running a system that really needs lots of two way players to be successful. We have almost none. The hope when healthy is that we will have enough utility players with one or two great skills that it can ultimately provide relatively the same outcome. But frankly even then this is a flawed roster and I am not convinced we will ever reach the expectations some had.

Demps has built a team and system that works best with well rounded, high IQ, two way players and instead brought in a bunch of utility players, many of which have questionable ball IQ's.

He has 0 aggresivness in his game. He is a good defender at times but offensively he gives you very little. He's too slow to get to the rim and isn't a good enough shooter to be a threat there. Matybe its due to his development being stunted due to injuries byut I would be cool with moving him. Gordon just suck he's only good at making 3s. I want aggressive player on this team who are ready to play and attack every game. Tyreke/Quincy/Barnes/AD could be a great versitile team 4 guys who can all play and defend multiple positions.

am I the only 1 who wants to see what our team... that we expected to see on the court instead of having to play scrubs 25 minutes a game... can do in this system before wanting to fire someone? this place is worse than tigerdroppings

and every year our win total improved

now we bring in a new HC... and give him 20 games w/ guys who should be at the end of the bench playing starters minutes?

Why does Jrue look so bad out there? He seems like a backup.

I think the division is between those that hold out faith that Evans, Qpon, Cole and an unrestricted Jrue can turn this team into a championship contender and those that think that even when healthy that isnt likely to happen.

I think fully healthy this is still a playoff team but due to the nature of our roster we will forever be streaky and have a fairly low playoff ceiling.

fair enough... but I at least want evidence to point to... either way

edit: and NEITHER way has that yet with the team we're putting out there on a nightly basis

The starts are hard to excuse. He was a big part in our fourth quarter run to get the score back down but I think it is a mix of minutes limitations affecting cohesion, familiarity and perhaps Jrue might not be what many hoped he would be in this system.

I almost kinda think he should just start the second half and sit the whole first half. That way he can get into rhythm and be used like he would be as a unrestricted starter. Bring Ish in at points to run the two PG system he seems to do well in and see what happens.

Heck just throwing out lineup changes I kinda think Asik needs to be scrapped.

Just start Ajinca or Ryno and go with it. Jrue, Gordon, Gee, Ryno/Ajinca, Davis.

Then bring in Evans to spell Jrue Tuesday.
