Gentry is missing 3 key players along with multiple other guys being inured throughout the season and restrictions. Our play tonight is bad but all of those things definitely factor in. Utah has had some very bad games also with a fully healthy roster.
Maybe you are right, maybe I am overselling AD and underselling Hayward. The Jazz have a complete roster, but don't have as many "stars" as we do. Would you switch our roster last year for the Jazz? Of course not. But Snyder had those guys fighting for a playoff spot until the last two weeks when we pulled away.

This year without an AD, or a Jrue Snyder has that team playing .500 ball, and they too have dealt with injuries (Gobert, Hood, others on limited min.) but they have beat solid competition. No they aren't missing Jesus Shuttlesworth like we are apparently (Reke), but that hasn't stopped them. Snyder is the better coach of the two.

If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Send Asik on the plane back to NOLA right now.

See like that play when Gee made the deflection but the Jazz recovered. Davis has no know the personnel. You let him take that three every time.

Giving Asik that contract is much worse than Gordon's contract

Is Jrue dead? What's going on there?

Well, the guy giving out both of those contracts should be run out of town on a rail.

Asik has turned into an unplayable player....At 60 million dollars.

Demps has officially set the groundwork for Gordon's replacement as team contract albatross.

What is even more disgusting is we gave up a first for the luxury of paying him 60 million to sit on the bench.

It's not Gentrys fault it's the surplus of non NBA players that Dell has brought to this team Dell needs to go asap we need some fresh minds making some decisions

We should have asked Gentry to show us his charts for Asik. Lol!

"So Alvin, these charts showcasing AD are great, but what do you have showing how you will use Asik?"

"I left those in the cab. But trust me, they are colorful, and well done."

I have always said that Demps was this organizations biggest problem. People love to credit him for all his diamond in the ruff role players but those guys don't make you a champion unless you first have the core nucleus in place. When it comes to that Demps has left a lot to be desired.

......On the game, Ryno must not read scouting reports. Its the only explanation I have. All game he has over committed to the wrong players and sagged off or hesitated to close out on the players he shouldn't be.

But who exactly? Who are these non-NBA players? I'm not saying Demps isn't a mediocre gm who I wouldn't trust my first round pick, or fantasy basketball team with, but who are these players? Is it Gee? Douglas? Who? Gee was a solid signing, Douglas can get cut whenever we want.

Which is why I fear him having all this cap room this summer, and probably having a lottery pick to boot. I feel bad things are in store for us if Demps is here this offseason.

We make a run, then jazz, and then us, then jazz. I hate it.

It's amazing how many points Davis could average if he was on a good team

Ish is not a starting PG in this league. A solid 8th or 9th guy off the bench? Sure. Gee isnt either. Both are essentially starters right now when on a playoff roster they might get 10 minutes combined.

Asik is not built for this system. Any hopes he would play like in Houston are pretty much gone. This is the one matchup so far he should of found success and he can't.

So that is 3 of 5 starters that shouldn't be on the court. Ryno and Davis will always be a streaky duo because neither is in their comfort zones defensively.

We consistently have 1-4 players on the court that shouldn't be in their assigned roles and responsibilities.

I've seen so many plays by the Jazz today that are so sweet on offense that I've never ever seen from the pels all season

That ingles guy thinks he is all good.

I hate to say this but we're seeing to much Ish right now. We need less Ish
The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.

ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding

These words should not be used lightly

Every last quarter shot has been designed for ish smith to score . A guy who shouldn't be on this team .. That's how dumb this quad is

I agree and I hope he isnt. It really should of been a fresh break this past offseason. Tell Demps sorry we just need to create some long term organizational structure from top to bottom and don't have the patience to keep playing the hot seat game with different aspects of the organization. Brought in a new GM and got him to pick his coach and re-shuffle the roster.

    Damn we stay losing. 4-13.

I can see Douglas as being the lone "what's he doing here?" Player, but Gee had a good season last year, and Ish has been in the top 5 among guards in the asst/to ratio. Neither would log starter mins, but both have shown that they belong in the NBA.
