Say what you mean and mean what you say. Huge difference between calling someone injury prone and calling them soft. There is evidence for the former. If you have evidence for the latter, present it. But I have none for the latter, and I doubt anyone else does either
@mcnamara247
I love me some AD, and as frustrating as it is for us fans, it must be equally as frustrating or more for the players. They don't want to have half the team hurt. It's just so aggravating that we have to keep saying, if only this team were healthy, if only we have five legit NBA plays starting, if only, if only, if only
There used to be a sign in my team's training room put there by our pt..."Every injury has a pain; not every pain has an injury"
I can't particularly say AD is soft because I am not sure how often he is held out by the team when these injuries occur. There are players out there that will play through anything you throw at them and some that don't. (Westbrook with the dent in his face). I think it is fair to say that AD has a playing style that is a little soft but that is a different argument.
Gotta love when people will complain about someone else's $ yet when it comes to them they will want every penny possible. You would be a damn fool to take $115 mil instead of $140. He is worth every penny of $140 and every team in the NBA would agree. Wait I was told nobody was turning on AD by a few people? Where y'all at?
There was a time when you attempted to post things of value. Now you post this drivel? Too much 42 exposure I suppose.
I don't need his medical charts genius, each of his injuries are extensively reported on, by actual salaried employees.
My point was simple, but let me bring it down a few notches so that all may comprehend...
Injury prone means that you are suffering ACTUAL injuries. Does anyone on this forum consider a bruise an injury? Just wondering? contusion, strain, bruise, stinger.......these are all things that I would HOPE the majority of players play through.
So....lets flip the script, how many of his "injuries" have actually required surgery? What about PT? Now how many just require rest?
Looking at the big picture, if something only requires you to miss a day or two, then it is clearly not a major issue....and perhaps you should tough it out for your team.
Eric Gordon was label as the glass man imo because he was always injure but I would not call EG soft.......AD is getting close to that injury prone tag but I would not call him soft because he has played through injuries.......now imo if you want to use the soft word then apply it to his style of play.....for a bigman AD does not have a post up game,,,he does not bang down low to score.....that's not his game yet but a lot of yall on here wanted AD to be our starting 5 lol...
This is one of the dumbest things I have read. Because someone has to only miss a few days means it's clearly not a major issue? Well no **** Sherlock but not resting something like a strained him can turn into a major injury missing months instead of just a few games. His hip wasn't just a bruise so listen to the staff that is actually paid and say what the injury is which was a hip strain. Have you ever played sports to see what goes into rehabbing back a little injury? How do you know how much rehab he did for his hip or is going for his shoulder? Didn't know you had to have actual surgery for in to be an injury. I would guarantee every injury he has had so far requires extensive PT along with rest. Usually players will spend every hour possible and more getting these things worked on so they can come back. Just about every player in the NBA misses games for things like Davis is being held out for. You have no idea the extent of his injuries or what would most likely happen by him playing so what is your point? That you are going to assume something about a player without having any facts at all?

I wasn't aware you had become the BSS lapdog, I guess 42 has retired? You truly seem like an AD fan-boy. You are aware he is a human being just like you and bleeds too right? You get so angry you are responding to things I didn't even say. Where do I state that an injury requires surgery?
Now, if you are done puffing your chest (blindly defending what I have blindly accused? Ironic much -- dunce). The post topic is if AD is soft or not. As usual, all the pseudo intellectuals want to have a symmantics pissing party.
I mean, reread your post --- you "guarantee every injury needed extensive PT." and then attempt to berate me as not having any facts. Here is one fact, certain injuries DO NOT require PT. So your guarantee is rather empty I'm afraid.
"Just about every player misses games for things like Davis" ...... really -- Then why exactly does this thread exist?

Yea you just made my point for me! He is human so what the hell else do you expect? Him to be superman and never have an injury feeling no pain. Just playing through things that would most likely be stupid for his future risking further damage. You obviously have absolutely no idea regarding injuries and what can happen happen to someone by playing. Yet you know exactly what he's dealing with to be able to criticize him right? Has nothing to do with liking Davis or not I have this same stance for players I hate because it's realistic and a part of sports. You have obviously never been involved in sports saying some injuries don't require some form of PT. I can promise you I have never seen one single injury playing football at the HS or college level that didn't require some form of PT. If you weren't practicing you weren't just sitting there praying for it to heal you were on a training table getting some machine hooked up to you or doing minor stretches and workouts. I can guarantee any injury that someone is going to miss time for will 100% require some form of PT along with rest so your wrong. You are doing nothing but making ridiculous assumptions when you have absolutely nothing to back up what you're saying.

This thread is why I rarely post here anymore. It's infuriating how unrealistic and idiotic some people's posts are. There is no more perspective or objectivity. It used to just be a vocal minority, now it seems the inmates are running the asylum.
AD played with a horribly dislocated finger on his shooting hand the last month+ of the last season. That was the entire basis for Tyreke's "Ain't got no time to stop. Straight gas." Comment. He was talking about AD playing through injuries.
Fast forward a few months and AD is soft? Psst. People want to blame whatever makes them feel better about the team's current state. That assigning of blame doesn't mean you're right. It means you've lost perspective and are allowing emotions to control you. I think you're soft, not AD.
You also have to wonder why every time AD goes to the locker room to have something looked at, we hear that Dell is down there. Is it not at least possible that Dell is forcing the issue of Davis playing it cautious?
Yeah AD knows the medical equipment in every arena. He like..."that blue button is for the scanner."
Injury prone and soft, like MM said are completely different. Is he injury prone? He seems like it, is he soft? No, he is always trying to come back, play through injury or even stay on the court after getting hurt.
He isn't one of those who hurts his toe and acts like he is gonna die. Heck didn't he break his hand on the rim last year and play through it?
I'll admit, after seeing AD get carried to the locker room by his teammates, I was pretty surprised to hear that it was only a bruise.
Man you love to go with the knee jerk reactions looking for the drama in any situation. Guy has a knee to knee collision and it's time to discuss this again?
