I really hope there is an amazing crowd there and I hope we take care of business. In fact I want to have the crowd be loud, like this!

In all seriousness now. We will do win this for Monty! The team will pull through Wednesday. I'm even going to morning mass Wed. morning. The SKC will be rocking.
And yes they are scared of us! Make sure they don't get in SKC wed night!
Warning this site has no rules apparently

Oh and none of those Spurs fans list the Asik tip game as one they should've lost
Its the natural progression of fans that get accustomed to a winning franchise. Look at the Saints. The bar gets raised as the winning culture becomes a new norm. One day I hope we Pelicans fans are in a position where we can say to people, be happy we are such a good franchise and that whining about not getting the 2nd seed because we only won 55 games sounds like a spoiled child. That their claims of missed opportunities look absurd compared to the real teams that struggle to have a consistent franchise.
That would be cool. But in some areas we are already there. Spurs fans are also talking about games they should have won with no regard for games they should have lost.
Perspective. We hashed this out once before but good teams win games against better opponents on occasion and close out teams they should beat at a decent rate, but slip ups are inevitable. We as a whole have failed on the latter worse then anyone else we are competing against. The worst playoff contender against sub .500 teams in the West. 14 losses to sub .500 teams. The Cavs and Pistons are teams that actually have the ability to beat good teams on the right night. Heck the Cavs might win it all. PHI, NYK, CHA, ORL those are teams that are a lot harder to swallow giving games away too. Just one of them as a W and this team can rest everyone Wednesday. I think that is a fair point to be making.
Furthermore they might actually have a good case to make that their team let those games slip away. I am not an expert on every minute of those games. I think dismissing their complaints offhand without actual proof is rather reactionary. I think you and I can both point to games this season against good opponents that our team let slip away. Let alone against bad teams.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Me and some friends are driving from Alabama. This will be my first live Pelicans game. Beyond pumped!
I've been there a few times and got to the point where I just had to report that site to the league, which then got forwarded to the league's legal office. They even responded to me a few days later that they are monitoring that site.
Anyway, I'd advise folks to stay off that place. It's like the old nola comment section but 3 times worse. No rules is putting it lightly

Ouch. Time to finally make amends...CP3 defers to Pargo for the game winning shot and he misses it. Spurs win.
****, wait. Sorry wrong year.
I'll be enjoying the atmosphere through my television down here in the deep deep south. I do like the fact they show the quarter/half time shows instead of a black "GAME BREAK" screen now on LP, those dance shows! more of them, less man jumping through hoops
I still don't think you get my point. There is no doubt that we can look back on some games with regret and say that we could have/should have won those games. But my issue, as always, is lack of balance. If you do that, you also have to acknowledge the games you could have/should have lost. For example - why do people think we should have beat Boston or Orlando? Because they are much lower than us with regard to record and/or point differential, right? Well, do you know there is a wider gap between us and Golden State than us and several teams we lost to? So, then by this same logic, we should have lost to GS last week, right?
Or, someone points to the Asik tip game (a game we still could of won in OT by the way) and I can point to the Illysova miss. On top of that, I am sure there are 5 games OKC fans can point to and say they should have won. THIS is why I think the whole thought exercise is pointless. Because it is not balanced. You wanna talk about the games we should have won? Fine by me, but only if you also bring up the other side. Not to mention, how do we know that some losses didn't make us more focused or the coaching staff get on guys more and lead to more wins?
It is a pointless exercise IMO, and one that lacks truth and balance.

This is a revenge game for them killing our CP3 championship year!![]()
with all the tie breakers I am having trouble figuring out what will happen so I ask this, Spurs basically have to win to keep 2nd right?
I found a much cleaner site

Splitter ruled out per that dirty Spurs forum.

The Spurs aren't the best on the road...so we have a very good chance.
