Thread: Final Stretch Predictions

  1. #26
I think Westbrook is Wade, and the time to capitalize on him is now. That haul will be amazing, but if they don't move quickly it will be less so. They should have kept Jackson and moved Westbrook, but who moves an MVP candidate during an MVP season? They need to replace him, and get a legit pg, or a Sg who can do more than play defense (because Roberson can't make a shot to save his life).
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I can't assume any worse than 3-2 for them, meaning we have to go 4-2 at least IMO.
I definitely understand your logic, but you got to think....Spurs, Indy and Blazers will bring a little extra gas to Throw on a reeling Thunder team with a small fire around it.

They could get ANYONE they want for Westbrook at this point
and Durant could run the point forward.

    ANYONE.....
and all the picks to go with them.

The way that Thunder roster is built, they have to know that they are in a golden age, and need to act accordingly, otherwise they will blow this entire thing up. Move RW, get a real pg, and better backcourt depth.

If you were the GM of the Thunder, and the Clippers called and offered CP3 for Westbrook. Would you consider it? And vice versa for the Thunder offering, would you do it? I thnk both would have to consider it. I think if they wanted a championship soon the Thunder would do it. And the Clippers are going to struggle to pay everyone on their team. All in all it comes down to Durant's health.

A move like that would be a disaster on so many levels IMO. What team trades a guy who could easily win the MVP this year ? They already botched the Harden thing trying to be smart and you see how that backfired. Besides, in today's NBA how many pure point guards are out there....CP3 is not coming to OKC.....period. I will say, I hope you're right..lol and the Thunder move Russ, that would definitely make them really average.

Wait, what? What does RW do to make a case for him being Batman (or Robin)? Dude takes way to many shots, and while he seems like some great player, his game forces the ball away from Durant, who is Batman. Westbrook is the most overrated player in the NBA. Congrats on the 50 triple doubles, but when your points come from being 15/350 shooting, nobody is impressed.

    0-11 counting next season

for real now, don't think we go to the postseason, but anyway, I see improvement, and that was my goal when the season started. Next season is a different history, gotta make the playoffs and get our guys healthy.

Westbrook dragged OKC from the grave after they started 3-12.

    3. and. 12.

Russ does what he has to do to get the Thunder going. Be it taking bad shots or hustling his butt off, gotta give it up, he's been a monster this season. And he has a cirurgically repaired knee, by the way.

  15. #40
side note: is it right to write cirurgically??

Westbrook is better than anyone else at the point right now whether you love or hate him. He is the most dominant pg by far.

could we consider Harden the Rockets' de facto PG?

Both teams finish 44-38, and NOP makes the playoffs!
This is what I see as well.
