We will be waiting a long time with some of the posters on this forum.

Tired legs, our best player goes down and we played a really good team. Dont put too much stock into it.

The bulls 7 fouls tonight was the lowest total for any team this year

I mean we need him to step up, he had been playing well lately but really this is his 2nd worst shooting season, 2nd worst FG% and 2nd worst TS% of his career

    Joey Crawford FTW

I lost it on that no call on Anderson's dunk attempt

edit: also when they let Noah set in on a jump ball even after Ajinca pointed out that Noah was not the guy who tied him up

Yea but he started the season off terrible, he couldn't figure out how he fit into the offense. Its been mostly a different Gordon since the injury. If we dumped him for peanuts we become a bad shooting team and a Babbit/Salmons/Jimmer gets more minutes instead

After tonight, we are now in the bottom 10 in the league at free throw rate. If not for AD, we would be 2nd worst. Our guards just don't get to the line and it kills us on nights where we are off. Look at Jimmy Butler - started off 0-6, but got to the line and that got him going. Finished with 18 points on 14 shots.

The inconsistency will continue if we don't solve that issue.

I was done w/ it when they called that foul on Cunningham even though he OBVIOUSLY was way to Rose's side and Rose jumped into him

that was during the run right after AD's injury

Yep. I don't think the officiating was particularly great. But I watched Rose and Butler drive and sell calls and just kept thinking to myself "that's what our guards need to do." I hate that's what it comes down to but it's a fact of the game at this point. If you don't actively try to get to the line you're not going to get there consistently.

yea, it just sucks so bad that we are stuck paying his 15$ million/year till he is gone

Question: Where are you looking at free throw rate stats?

We HAVE to get EG some confidence back or we are screwed. With guys off the bench you hope, but with him we need him to be productive. I think we should bring him off the bench and let him watch for a bit and then come in. That can work for a guy sometimes.

What makes me upset is tony snell had been in thibodeau's doghouse all season long. One time he plays, he injured a superstar...

    Wasn't Snell's fault. Freak accident.

Where is all of this data? The guy has been injured the majority of the time here.

I think it may be in the best interest of the team to keep him this season too. I think we can get more value for him next season when he opts in his contract. Although, it would be nice to turn his contract into a starting 3 and D SF, a quality back up veteran PG, and another quality veteran bench players.

It's like every bad thing that could happen tonight did.

EG reverted to some bad habits. I know it has to be draining being asked to guard Westbrook last night and then Rose at times tonight but a few of those dribble out the clock step backs rivaled some of Evans worst.

Evans took a full reversal back into bonehead Evans. He needs to find a consistent play style that benefits the team. He is a the definition of a bi-polar player. One game he is a great distributor, making mostly smart decisions. The next he is ignoring ball movement to drive into clogged lanes, runs the shot clock out and then takes long contested step back jumpers and his passes are late and poorly delivered.

Ryno is about the biggest disappointment on this team. Every time I see his movement stopping twist and step back jumpers, early in the shot clock, trying to be Dirk, I want to throw a brick at my TV.

Monty really needed to draw up some plays that got our guys some easy buckets or open looks. We have the best catch and shoot 3 point player in the league and I feel like 90% of the time he is just either getting handoffs or standing at the three point line. Run some plays for EG!! Especially in a game like tonight where he was struggling and the one catch and shoot three he got he made. I know we missed a lot of open looks and that wouldn't of guaranteed anything but man.

I also think it is probably time to swap Q-pon for Cunningham. Cunningham is much better as that bench energy guy and Qpon gives about the same defensively but is infinitely more skilled offensively. As it stands out starting lineup has ONE three point shooter. That is unacceptable in todays league.

Games like this are rather discouraging. I had pinned this as a loss back in the "predict the next 10 games" thread but this still stings.

Tyreke played 40 minutes yesterday and was visibly tired. He wasn't even trying to attack most of the game, just handing the ball off and standing around

We were never going to win this game once Davis went down, it was a stretch to begin with

  24. #224
we have to win these last 2 games before the break, then we will be in good shape.

Thanks to that list I can now tell my friends that I make more than some NBA players.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
