Thread: Who Would You Trade Jrue For?

I also think Lillard has had far more opportunities to be that than Jrue. We already have AD and Reke here and they are going to be taking the majority of last shots. If I'm not mistaken AD has the highest FG% at the end of the 4th qtr of ANY player in the league.

Like I said however, I put Lillard as better on offense because of his intangibles even though they are similar production wise. He is nowhere near the defender of Jrue though.

Everyone think back to the battle last year when Jrue was healthy and took Lillard to task on offense and defense. People forget because of the injuries just how good Jrue is.

To me, it just gets old sometimes. Tyreke has a few bad games and there is his trade thread. Then, he plays well, and here comes the 'Move Jrue to the bench' and 'Jrue's trade value' thread.

I have told you this before, and I mean it - you have some valuable basketball insight at times, but 80% of your threads, if not more, are trade threads. Jrue isn't going anywhere, and I personally don't see how it is "fun" to discuss trading a guy who is here to stay. And to be honest, if we did trade Jrue for some guy you love now, you know that you would have that guy in a trade thread after a poor 3 game stretch.

I just wish you would share your insights about our current team more rather than spending so much time on trade threads, but it is a free country. Just my $.02
YES!!! You took the words out of my mouth. I just ignore it now! But it does get exhausting.

And before anyone says, we would trade tyreke before jrue, blah blah blah, I just said, this is for fun.
I'm not trading Jrue Holiday for anyone. We traded for Jrue because we needed a starting point guard and he is it.
    HANGIN' IN THE PELICANS ROOST!!

    2. You have no idea if Jrue is here to stay or not, you have your opinions that he is a long term option, which I also think he is, but u can't say that him being here in set in stone.

I've made plenty of others threads, like how well players are doing in certain stretches, how it seems that everyone who comes to NOLA from else where sees a significant drop in their defensive rating, I just so happened to make this thread and want to know what people thought of Jrue's trade value. Still can't figure out why people who can't bring insight to the topic insist on posting in it.

I really hope u don't take this as me being rude, and I appreciate u saying u value my basketball insight, but i'm just telling u how it is. This is a place for pelicans fans to talk about what interests them and things they enjoy, and thats all i'm doing. I wouldn't ever tell u to not write detailed articles about the pelicans simply because they don't interest me, because u enjoy it, and thats why we are here.

IMO Jrue Holiday is not tradable. Given the assets expended and cost to the Pelicans organization, favorable contract as well as his potential upside if healed I can't imagine a scenario where the Pelicans would make him available in a trade within the next couple of years. On the other side, I can't imagine any GM willing to give up the required assets for a player whose future health is in doubt.

I did not acknowledge it for a reason. Do whatever you want man. I was just trying to give some constructive criticism. But if this is what you enjoy, who am I to stop you? It's a free country. Enjoy.
