If anybody is interested - Ajinca will not play in the Basketball WC. But not because of the injury but because of the ucoming birth of his child.

Well, who am I to disagree with that one Chief.
Ya I think just having me gives us a decent thread.
When something doesn't fit your argument, you naturally exclude it.
Rivers is a bad NBA defender. Gordon is a bad NBA defender. Evans is a bad NBA defender. Anderson is a below average NBA defender. Freddette could be the worst NBA defender. Ajinca is an above average NBA defender. Miller is a top 100 NBA defender.
No teaching ITT.
Russ Smith can get the job done.
True.
Been watching a lot of Winnie the Pooh lately?
OP taken over by the dark side of the force.
This thread is the best thing since sliced bread.

I hear ya lol, I sat here for nearly ten minutes trying to figure out the 'bench- squad'; despite having coached h.s. basketball for the last fifteen years and never having done that with any of those teams.Quote Originally Posted by MichaelMcNamara View Post

Subbing five in at a time is ludicrous. It takes a while to get acclimated ya know, at least one player should remain in whereas to have a feel for the game.
let's try it like this:
sub 1- ryno for SF (ryno takes to the 4, AD slides to the 5)
is another substitution made here? if so which one? if not, what's the next one?
Great game. I remember that. Tyreke exploded and scored 41 points. That's not the average, not the norm. Look at the box scores for ALL OKC vs NOP games then let's talk.
The point is if this is our final roster I think we will continue to have problems against superior offenses. We need a 3 and D SF and a pesky defender on the second unit, backup, whatever you people want to call it. It seems like a lot of you don't understand what it takes to win in this league. We have to improve in every area. 3 pointers, Assists, and "team" defense ha which we actually don't have. This team is not a threat to do much at all. IF they stay healthy maybe they'll get in the playoffs. But until Dell gets another significant piece I'm going to doubt we will see the playoffs. If you want to breakdown my argument go ahead. I'm all ears. Do all your homework and tell me how Freddette, Salmons, and young, smith are going to add to anything. I love Smith but we'll see... Do your numbers you can't make a strong argument that this team will be much better except for healthy players, AD progress, Asik. A ton of wishful thinking in these posts.

Pesky defenders on the 2nd unit eh?
How about Russ/Austin/Tyreke covering the permiter. All are very capable on-ball defenders. (also good for spacing Tyreke against other teams 2nd string on offense)
And we have our 3&D (Miller). He just won't 3 until someone screams at him.
It's Ryno's Time. You got a great sense of humor lol

Indeed, teams that set screens for shooters that play the 3 will give Tyreke issues chasing them off-ball.
However, there's this little tid-bit he's given us:

If he can improve his terrible jumpshot, he can improve his defense. There's lots of hope.
