Thread: I'm not one to gossip, but...Trade w/ Wolves?!?

Lets say it is Martin and Budinger. You are looking at this

    Jrue/Rivers/Smith
    Tyreke/Martin
    Need/Budinger
    Davis/Ryno/Babbitt
    Asik/Ajinca/Withey/Young

You would have Bird Rights to Aminu, Smith, Roberts, and Miller plus the MLE and BAE

Talk about having a combination of depth, star power, and assets. An absolute no brainer

You have to make this trade if it's real. Be honest, it's the best trade I've seen. A team that could want Gordon. A player we've shown interest in previously and would fit in as a bench player? Yeah. And he's proven he can get hot in any moment and just start wappin' 3s.

There's no thinking about it. You do the trade!

Sorry, I've just dreamed of the day we got rid of Gordon for so long now.

The reason this trade is such a no brainer is because it is unrealistic. Maybe if Dell has been secretly drugging up Saunders and then he would still probably has enough sense to say no.

Martin would be great as a floor spacer, especially if Anderson goes or even if we lose Morrow to FA.

    R.I.P. to HunnyB/FlyGirl

So, just to be clear, every single trade in the history of the NBA has made perfect sense to you from both sides?

    Pau Gasol comes to mind.

Reke would probably stick around with the 2nd team for a spell... could you imagine Reke with Ryno and KMart on the wings. Or, if Austin improves on his strength to finish he could be deadly with that 2nd team. He and Russ Smith because they both can blow by defenders.

    I hope this trade happens.

Normally you look at trades from both sides. If we are now throwing the other teams' perspective out the window, lots of trade possibilities have opened up. DURANT FOR GORDON!?!?!? NOT ALL TRADES IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA HAVE MADE SENSE FOR BOTH SIDES, AM I RIGHT???

If this were to happen, I don't think Evans should come off the bench for Martin.

One would think any trade would be agreed to prior to free agency so that teams know what cap space they would have and players they need to target. So i have to expect if this is gonna happen it will be in the next 48 hours.

Maybe you're just ignoring their perspective. I mean there was just a link from realGM with tons of Wolves fans on board.

Nah Reke should start but (if this trade happens) there would be more shooters in the 2nd team, and he could like play the entire first quarter and get some time with those guys. He'd do work.

It comes down to whether you think the OP is telling the truth or full of it. I personally give people the benefit of the doubt.

Now, if someone would have came here and said, "Hey, I have an idea, how about Gordon for Martin?" - I would have probably been the first person to jump up and say no way Minny does it.

But I will give the OP the benefit of the doubt, as he is not someone who has lied in the past or seems to have any incentive to do so. If you think this is just his idea and he is passing it off as a thing he heard, then I understand why you are skeptical and are conveying it in your usually diplomatic fashion.

I think you could start KM and Reke together versus a lot of teams. Just depends on match ups.

But again, there's no way this happens. Too good to be true.

If anything, a 3rd team takes Buddinger and gives some kind of asset to the Wolves.

Another reason I don't believe it: it hasn't happened yet. Dell would do the deal so quick that EG would be on a flight before Flip hung up the phone.

I am terrified of what this board will do to the OP if it doesnt happen. I hope we keep our heads and realize how often these things come and go

That made no sense. As much as people on here talk bad out Gordon, the reality is he still might be top 10 SG if he can stay healthy. He still has plenty of potential. The guy hasn't been healthy for two years in a row yet to gather some momentum with his training.
