    good question.

i think he is way more athletic than given credit for, he can run the floor, offensively and defensively, can finish at the rim, think he is an above average passer for a SF, and I think he's one of the better 3pt shooters, just think he had an off year, he's shot 40% twice in his career.

at one point this year he was averaging 20-5-5

i just think with him, jrue and tyreke all 3 are too dynamic at scoring and passing and would make it almost impossible to defend us.

    47%
    35%
    42%

in his first 3 season, I'm willing to say he just had an off year from deep.

    also i love u too.

pistons have 21 million, 26 million if jerebko opts out. they need a sg, might be worth the gamble.

I found this link I saved with the Pels draft picks through 2019. we have no 2014 having traded to Sixers and Spurs, We have only our #1 in 2015 having traded 2 # 2's in the Chris Paul trade. In 2016 we have our own #1 and 2 #2's from the clips and wolves. 2017 we have #1 and traded #2 to Wolves. We still own both 1 and 2 in 2018-19,

    http://www.prosportstransactions.com...e/Pelicans.htm

So not knowing the value of those picks in those draft years , what value do you attach to them to try and move into this years draft, including players or not?
We had quite a few interesting conversations as we pondered and navigated the nightly canopy.

I wouldn't want to take a chance on the health of Embiid long term. He's got back issues, and worse, foot issues. And that's with only playing a 35 game college season. He does have an enormous amount of potential but I'd be inclined to go in a different direction. I'd definitely take Vonleh at six, but I wouldn't bet my retirement that he'd still be on the board there.

Would a team like the pacers who has a very late 1st round pick and is aiming to get to the FINALS trade their pick for EG? Come on.

I know it's been talked about but how likely is a P-Jax for a pick in the 20-25 then that pick and EG and Withey for their troubles for Tyson Chandler? The more I think about it I like it, mainly because of the contract. Call me crazy but I would prefer this to a Ryno and EG for Monroe esque deal

In addition to Your tweet about Horford

What is his worth in Your opinion. And is it possible that Dell has shot on him? I know that Your Hawk connection will not tell anything

maybe Anderson plus pick (I remember about his injury history)?

Horford has 2 years - 12 million a year. Fair contract for healthy player

If ATL trades him, it will be to go young. Would take a high pick IMO. We would have to get in the 4-8 range, and I am still not clear on how we can do that. Plus, I wonder if Dell is scared off by guys with injury histories. I mean, if your job was on the line next year, would you want to risk it by hoping a guy who has basically played 38 games per year the last three years suddenly gives you 75?

    Would be a big risk.

    I am also afraid
I thought that Al is the type of player which Dell loves and he will make a shot of him using the argument of injury history...
    Too much gambling IMO.

I was wondering who is he targeting. Cause every year he surpirsed us with trades (but they were usually RFA). Ryno. Reke. Jrue

Some guesses are: Martell Webster, Tyson Chandler, Javale McGee, Chandler Parsons, Demarre Carroll, Pekovic, Koufos

I could see us trying to get into the latter part of the round, but not top 5 as the baseball reporter suggested.

Agreed, just didn't feel this deserved another thread.

Out of curiosity, what do you think it would take to pry Parsons, Pek, and Carroll from their respective teams?

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

If they can find someone interested in Pierre, they could trade him with cash for a late 1st rounder possibly. The other possibility would be Rivers if they could find someone interested.

There have also been rumors of the Clippers looking for someone to take Dudley and possibly dangling #28 to get someone to take him.

My guess is Pierre and cash to the Heat for late round first. Then trade that 1st along with Ryan Anderson to Boston for Jeff Green. Matching salaries so we could still get PJ Tucker with MLE right? Here is a rumor about the Celtics having a deal in place to trade Green with a mystery team:

Would this still allow us to use the MLE?
If we miss out on Thabo or Tucker then I'm okay with this as long as we can still use the MLE.

MM.... what about Webster and Carroll on defense? I'm guessing that Carroll would have the upper hand here, but I really don't know if that's true or not ..... and I'm not sure how/if he would fit in here, but Mike Scott has always intrigued me to some extent.....

But why would we use the MLE on Tucker If we traded for Green who is a SF?

  24. #499

Pelicans looking to get a top 5 pick?

Depth? Green could play some 4 with Davis at the 5. We go from one of the worst SF's on a roster to a solid rotation. This would if course only if Dell and Monty are willing to give Withey more time and trust Ajinca will adapt.

I suppose. Would rather use it on a Center or a sharpshooter to replace Anderson in that situation.
