MM - Ryno & AD together doesn't sound like the end game Monty has in mind. I remember a post (or a tweet, not sure) about the dichotomy of Dell's vision vs. Monty's. Ryno/AD is circa 2014 Spurs and Embiid/Vonleh paired with AD seems like the '99 Spurs. IF Ryno is moved to ultimately land a "5" in the mold of Monty's ideal model, that would suggest that Monty has some teeth within the organization.

Would I trade Gordon for Gay? Of course, Gay is a better player and isn't injury prone. But they would never do that, would I give up Gordon and a 1st for Gay? IDK, every team gay has ever left has gotten better.

    tyreke
    jrue
    gay
    ryno
    davis

we def won't have a problem scoring the ball.

What's all this stuff about the PELICANS trading Holiday? If they did trade him who would be our starting pg?

This was very well said by the way

But consider, is it possible Dell was as sincere as hell when he explained what the organization was looking for and the desired, subsequent age-range; but since this proclamation he has in fact- Simply Changed His Mind? Perhaps after talks with Monty and others or even our club's performance or more likely (what I think)

He looked at this year's draft and the free-agent market and came to the conclusion that he could get a better SF from the draft

than he could get through free agency considering how much cap room we have in addition to having two holes to fis in SF and CENTER

    here's where I get loopy:
once he started studying these small forwards... is when genius came through and he decided to rolll to quote "99 spurs style"

    jrue
    morrow
    ariza
    Noah Vonleh
    AD

say what yal want, but if the world wants to let Noah Vonleh slip to 6-8 we should move on in. period.

I wish we could trade Gordon for Gay but KINGS probably wouldn't do that. Gordon to PACERS would be a great idea though.

Sheeeeet I'd give up holiday for exum in the blink of an eye. You're sleeping on exum big time.

i reckon Ryno gets dealt for the Kings 8th pick.. i can so see it happening, and we select Aaron Gordon.

Why wouldn't kings do it.. they would have the best Big man combo in the league.

And it helps us free salary and the overload at the PF position, to sign possibly hayward.

I think we'll trade Gordon for Monroe right away.... We'll have to do what it takes. If we make that trade happen I say we take a risk and try to do what we can to land Jabari Parker. He is the best SF to enter the league in years. If we pull that off we will have more cap space and can add experienced bench players and team players.

It would have to be a 2017 protected pick.

LMAO I'll tell you what, if you would take last year's team and pulled off this trade ......we would be a wicked offense.

but i still think getting rudy gay would be just the first move

cause im under the impression that getting a quality center is the only way to get AD to resign with us

Very good possibility, Dell said he doesn't want to have to give up ryno or a 1st but in order to move gordon, who is handicapping this team so bad right now that he might have to.

sign and trade for monroe then sign pj tucker.

the team would be better, tucker is a better fit than gordon and monroe is better than ryno. What i would really want is to find a way to get rid of gordon and sign parsons or hayward but it won't happen

    i love that team.

I wouldn't worry about AD resigning, idk if any player has ever turned down a 5 year max contract, regardless of who he plays for.

I would love for that to happen, but it won't the kings aren't getting anything, they are getting a worse player than rudy gay in eric gordon, on a longer contract, we would have to throw in a 1st IMO.

    Something I did consider though

    Ryno, Gordon, PJax
for Gay and their #8 pick

doubt that do that either, but they need a PF.

I think you think this is true. About Dell's philosophy. But we really have no evidence that this is always true.

Think about it this way, we know for a fact that Dell will trade a draft choice for a young vet if there isn't a rookie he really like and believes in. We don't know what Dell will do of there is a rookie he really likes that he thinks is an ideal long term roster fit.

Last years draft was historically bad. We can't use the Jrue trade as evidence and say that's what Dell's philosophy always is.

If Dell was in a position to draft Wiggins, Embiid, or Parker and put them next to Davis, we'd expect him to draft a rookie. Maybe there is a player, Vonleh perhaps, that Dell really, really likes.

Like I said, we have no evidence that Dell is anti-rookie. Only the single sample of the Jrue trade

Everyone thought Jrue was untouchable, but we got him.

I still wonder if there is a chance we could do a sign and trade for parsons or gordon hayward, like ryno and a 1st, you never know, then sign blatche.
